The sound came from the passenger side.

"Li Ping, did you take a photo?"

"No, I didn't!"

Following that, two more sounds came, "pat pat pat... pat pat pat..."

One sound on the rear window, the other right next to my window.

I looked around, outside the car window was pitch black, nothing was there.

"Who took the photo?"

"Not me." A female classmate in the back seat raised her hand.

"Me neither." Another female classmate also raised her hand.

Li Ping did the same, everyone raised their hands as if surrendering collectively.

"None of us took it, could it be a ghost taking the photo?"

"Pat pat pat!"

The sound came from the rear car window again.

The two female classmates were stunned for a moment, then screamed in unison.

I stepped on the gas, the car shot out like crazy.

But the knocking on the window followed us like a shadow, becoming more frequent and urgent, "pat pat pat", it didn't stop.

It was as if countless people were leaning around our car, on top, underneath, banging on the windows like mad.

I was so scared that I lost my mind, my eyes darting between the car windows, suddenly I saw a woman in white standing in front of the car.

Her hair was disheveled, blood oozing from her facial features.

"Ah!"

I screamed, quickly hitting the brakes.

But it was too late, that person hit our car head-on.

The car screeched to a halt, but the person didn't bounce off or slide down, their face firmly stuck to the windshield, twisted features oozing blood, staring at me wide-eyed.

Everything fell into a dead silence, I was trembling with fear, gasping for air.

Suddenly, that face twitched, peeled off the windshield.

"Still alive?"

Just as I breathed a sigh of relief, the face automatically slammed back onto the windshield, making a "pat" sound, just like the earlier car knocking.

Then that face went crazy, banging on the car window, the expression on the face becoming more and more anxious, in between the knocks, urgently saying something to us.

But she was speaking so forcefully, yet we couldn't hear anything.

Imitating her, I moved my lips and said that sentence, "Get out of the car, get out of the car..."
