Just as I was searching around for Master's figure, the Buddha finished his sermon, and Ananda hurriedly came over to lead the four of us brothers to have our vegetarian meal.

I couldn't suppress the doubts in my heart and asked Ananda:

"May I ask, venerable one, has my Master had his meal?”

Ananda hesitated for a moment, then smiled and said:

"The Golden Cicada has special arrangements by the Buddha, Guangli, you need not worry."

I wanted to ask which Zen room Master was staying in, but my elder brother grabbed my hand and smiled:

"Junior brother, it's rare for us to come to Mount Ling, better to fill our stomachs first before asking more questions."

The vegetarian meal at Mount Ling was indeed sumptuous with all kinds of noodles, fruits, and vegetables, making me, who had endured the hardship of ten thousand miles of journey, incredibly appetized.

But just as I grabbed a piece of thin pancake, my elder brother patted my shoulder and then blew a breath into my eyes.

In an instant, the delicious food before me changed in appearance.

On the large dining table, there were heaps of severed limbs, and countless maggots were wriggling on those pus-filled corpse fragments.

The surroundings turned into a scene of mountains of corpses and seas of blood.

What I was holding in my hand was, surprisingly, a piece of human skin.

Seeing this scene, I almost vomited.

At this moment, my elder brother's voice reached my mind:

"Calm your breath, don't move."

I immediately recited the tranquilizing incantation and managed to steady my mind.

Then, my elder brother blew another breath towards me.

I felt my body lighten, realizing my soul had left my body and floated into the air. Looking back, I saw my elder brother was with me.

"Follow me."

My elder brother then turned into a fly, leading me around countless beams forward.

After an unknown amount of time, we finally landed on a huge beam.

Just as I was about to ask my elder brother why he brought me here, he gestured for me to look down.

Below was shrouded in mist and steam, a few venerable ones were serving someone, bathing and dressing him.

At first, I thought it was the Buddha, but upon a closer look, I realized the person being served was none other than my Master, who had disappeared after fetching the scriptures.

I couldn't help but think that it made sense for Master to be back to his home with people taking care of his daily needs, but what deeper meaning did my elder brother want to show me?

My elder brother seemed to hear my thoughts and transmitted his voice to me:

"Look more closely."

I looked down again, and through the layers of steam, I saw that the bath made up of human skin was filled with blood. As the fire below heated it, bubbles rose from the blood.

The firewood underneath were human bones.

The most horrifying part was that these bones were all small and uniform, unmistakably children's bones.

"Young boys and girls?"

I was so shocked that I said it out loud.

At this moment, a Lohan below leapt up to the beam and shouted loudly:

"Which demon is here?”

Fortunately, my elder brother reacted quickly, pulling me and flying back.

Once my soul returned to my body, I noticed the second brother had already left.

At this moment, my elder brother was stuffing a big pancake into his mouth and called me to eat, saying loudly:

"Junior brother, eat quickly, isn't this better than the fodder you ate along the way to the west?”

When the patrolling venerables moved away, he quickly threw the 'pancake' onto the table.

When I looked closely, I felt nauseous; it wasn't a pancake but a piece of human thigh meat.

Just as I felt my stomach turning, my elder brother got up to leave and whispered to me:

"Remember, don't go out before the sun rises tomorrow."

I hastily asked:

"What was the matter with Master just now?”

My elder brother

continued walking without turning his head, only replying softly:

"You will understand tomorrow."
