Back home quietly, I was so tired that I fell asleep until dawn.

If it weren't for the Taoist priest who came to my house early in the morning making a big fuss, I could have slept a bit longer.

"Didn't I tell you not to go out last night? Why did you still go out!" The Taoist priest was furious, standing in my yard and scolding.

Evidently, my parents hadn't woken up yet and came out with messy hair.

"Master, what nonsense are you talking about? We didn't go out!" My mom rubbed her eyes, looking confused.

"You dare to lie! If you didn't go out, then whose clothes is this piece of fabric from? And who took away the girl's body?"

The fabric that the Taoist priest was holding is exactly the same as the one I was wearing. It must have accidentally gotten caught on it when the coffin was opened last night.

Upon seeing the fabric in the hands of the Taoist priest, my parents turned their heads and looked at me, seemingly waiting for me to explain.

I yawned and casually walked up to the Taoist priest, "Fortunately, I went out last night, otherwise I wouldn't have discovered your conspiracy. You wicked Taoist, you actually took my sister for a ghost marriage! You said it was to suppress my sister, but your actions will only increase her resentment. You're just trying to kill our whole family!"

The Taoist priest was momentarily speechless by my words, and before he could refute me, my mom couldn't hold back and spoke first:

"You despicable Taoist! You actually took Dani for a ghost marriage behind our backs! No wonder you were so generous, buying such an expensive coffin. That family must have given you a lot of money! Hand it over! Even if it's considered a dowry for our Dani, what right does an outsider like you have to take it away?!"

Faced with my mom's forceful questioning, the Taoist priest remained unfazed:

"Why should I give you the money? Back when I entrusted you with the task, you readily agreed. Have you fulfilled your end of the deal? I've spent a lot of money to support your daughter! Now that she's dead, can't I earn some money back?"

"I don't care. Dani is my daughter. If you don't give the money, you won't be able to leave today!" My mom grabbed the Taoist priest's clothes and refused to let go.

My dad understood and went to close the front gate.

This Taoist priest, despite his tricks, had no way to deal with my parents' stubbornness.

"Boy, do you want to know the truth about your parents' favoritism? Actually, everything I said before was a lie to deceive you. Your parents not only favor your sister, but they also don't care about your life at all." The Taoist priest, seeing that he couldn't escape, once again attempted to free himself by sowing discord.

I looked at him with a smile on my face and said, "Alright, go ahead and tell me."

In the face of the Taoist priest's threat, my parents surprisingly didn't argue or stop him from speaking further. Instead, they looked at the Taoist priest with an expression that said, "If you know, you know, so what?"
