Cuckoo Invades the Nest
I and my sister are fraternal twins.
Since we were young, Mom always said that my sister is beautiful, while I'm an ugly duckling.
One day, Mom came across the question, "How big can the gap in appearance be between fraternal twins?"
She posted our photos.
My sister was wearing a light yellow princess dress, looking at the camera, smiling sweetly.
On the other hand, I was wearing a deformed old T-shirt, hunching my body, with a twisted expression.
Someone commented, "Sister has such a great temperament, elegant and graceful, while the little sister is timid."
Mom replied, "Yes, so how can you blame me for being biased?"
When I came across this reply, I felt both desolate and funny.
Mom, can't you see that I'm the one who looks like you?
And my sister, she resembles the newly appointed music teacher at school.
In the first music class, when I saw that face, I was reminded of the black and white one-inch photo hidden deep inside Dad's wallet for many years.
