Throughout the whole summer vacation, I diligently took care of my younger brother and sister at home as my parents instructed.

I seemed to have undergone a transformation, no longer speaking harshly to my younger siblings. Every day, I would make breakfast for them on time, take them out to play, and bring them back home for lunch.

My mom was very pleased and often told the neighbors that I was living up to being a middle school student, becoming more sensible and treating my younger siblings well.

One day, Aunt Zhang from next door came to chat with my mom. She casually asked, "How is the wound on Yunyun's forehead at your house? Is it healed?"

My mom was puzzled for a moment and then asked, "Huh? Don't you know? A few days ago, I saw Yunyun taking your kids, Yanghui and Yangxuan, out to play. Suddenly, Yanghui picked up a stone and threw it towards Yunyun. Luckily, they were at a distance, and the stone was small, or else Yunyun's head would have been injured."

At that moment, I happened to come out of my room to go to the bathroom. As I opened the door, I heard my mom laughing and saying, "Oh, I thought it was something serious. Yunyun is tough, being an older sister, a light hit from Xiaohui shouldn't be a big deal."

Aunt Zhang nodded, perhaps noticing me coming out, she exchanged a few words with my mom and then left.

My mom turned to look at me, a smile in her eyes spreading instantly, "Even if your brother hits you in the future, don't let others see it. Those who don't know might think your brother is bullying you, making a joke out of it."

I responded with an "oh" and then went to the bathroom.
