The Tathagata's laughter is extremely harsh; if it weren't for the white lotus flower protecting my ears, they would have probably gone deaf.

Just as I was doing my best to endure the Tathagata's laughter, I heard him speak with a sharp voice:

"Jinchanzhi, you still won't listen after hundreds of years. Do you know how many tribulations you've experienced since departing from the Eastern Earth?"

At this point, my master joined his hands together and closed his eyes, speaking softly:

"A total of eighty tribulations."

After hearing this, the Tathagata laughed heartily: "When nine nines return to unity, it should have been eighty-one tribulations, but you managed to enter the Ling Mountain after only eighty tribulations. Do you not understand the reason for this?"

"Disciple doesn't know."

"Foolish, it's because we need your physical body. If it wasn't for the transmission of my Buddhist scriptures to the Eastern Earth, you wouldn't have been able to survive the sand river. And yet you still wish to return to the Eastern Earth; how foolish."

At this point, my master seemed unaffected, and calmly said:

"Buddha, the sea of desire is boundless, but turn back and it's the shore!"

As soon as my master finished speaking, the Bodhisattvas and Arhats on both sides burst into peals of laughter, while the Tathagata on the lotus platform let out a wild, beast-like roar.

"Daring renegade, how dare you preach the Dharma to me!"

Simultaneously with the Tathagata's wild roar, his large, skeletal hand emerged from his wide yellow robe, and reached straight for my master's head.

The large hand grabbed my master's head, and then twisted forcefully.

With a crisp cracking sound, my master's head was twisted off.

I pressed my hand over my mouth, afraid of making a sound.

Next, the Tathagata suddenly uncovered the top of my master's head, and with a swish, he drank the brain matter.

The other Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Arhats all gazed at the Tathagata, seemingly awaiting his command.

At that moment, the Tathagata's face, covered in pus and blood, showed a satisfied expression, and then he waved his hand at the multitude.

Immediately, the Buddhas and demons revealed their true forms, and swarmed towards my master.

Even the dignified Guanyin tore off a piece of flesh and stuffed it into her mouth.

My master's body was instantly torn into pieces, and his intestines were pulled back and forth by the multitude of beings.

When his intestines were torn, I noticed that there wasn't the slightest impurity inside, only some faint clear water.

It seems that these demons had been planning this for a long time. It appears that my master hadn't eaten in days; hence, his statement, "If I don't go to hell, who will?"

Terrified, I was overwhelmed by boundless horror.

But amidst my terror, I discovered that "Big Brother" had disappeared.

No, it's more accurate to say that Vairocana Buddha had disappeared.

He could transform into the six-eared macaque, rendering Sun Wukong powerless, demonstrating the extent of his formidable powers.

Now he was gone, and I feared he would suddenly appear behind me and deliver a deadly blow.

If that happened, I might truly have no way to escape this demon lair.

Forcing myself to calm down, I slowly retreated.

But just as I exited the grand hall, I heard a series of light footsteps at the other end of the corridor.

Focused, I saw that it was a group of night patrol novices.

And behind me was the cannibalistic demon temple, and before me were the advancing night patrol novices, casting me into a panic.

At that moment, a cyan hand suddenly reached down from the ceiling, covering my mouth tightly, then another hand grabbed my collar and yanked me upward.

Just as I steadied myself on the ceiling beam, the novices arrived below.

It wasn't until they had walked more than twenty paces forward that I regained my composure enough to look at who had saved me.

But seeing who it was, I was so shocked that I nearly fell from the ceiling beam.
