Sealing the Gods!

Why seal the gods?

Because one day, a thought suddenly popped into Hongjun's mind.

Because outside the Ninth Heaven, there is a massive locust tree that possesses unrivaled power, surpassing Hongjun.

Hongjun tried every method but couldn't harm the locust tree even in the slightest. As a result, he felt fear and the idea of "sealing the gods" came to his mind.

He had the Three Sages establish the list of sealed gods and then used the calamity of slaughter and selection to choose the twelve most powerful immortals to help him eradicate the giant locust tree together!

But why use the sacrifice of others?

Hongjun didn't consider it; he always believed it was reasonable.

Thus, the War of Sealing the Gods began, and the twelve Golden Immortals crossed the calamity of slaughter and ascended beyond the Ninth Heaven.

Led by Hongjun and the Three Sages, they found the giant locust tree.

They exhausted all their treasures and spells, but their spells only caused the massive locust tree to tremble slightly. Then, the locust tree shot out countless branches, capturing Hongjun, the Three Sages, and the twelve Golden Immortals one by one.

The branches first pierced the bodies of the twelve Golden Immortals, as their cultivation was inferior to that of the Three Sages, causing them to faint. Then the branches easily pierced the bodies of the Three Sages, and they too lost consciousness. Finally, the branches pierced Hongjun's body.

At that moment, Hongjun suddenly understood completely.

This massive locust tree, although related to the cause of destruction, is not the one seeking to destroy the world!

This locust tree is just a hair on the immense unnamed monster's body!

A hair with thoughts and consciousness!

Its intention is not to destroy the world but to save it.

No one knows the true size of that monster; they only know that a single hair of his is enough to destroy heaven and earth.

The monster never communicates with any life because, to him, life has no meaning, and death is equally meaningless. He comes from a world without life or death, existing eternally in this world.

The hair doesn't know the meaning of the existence of this immense monster, and Hongjun doesn't know either. All they know is that the monster merely fell into slumber by chance.

Thus, life was born within his slumber.

All the myriad creatures in the world seem to be shadows in his dream.

From his enormous mouth, a drop of saliva flowed, passing through the Nine Heavens and reaching the Netherworld, forming a sea suspended between heaven and earth—the Sea of Death.

No one knows when this monster will awaken, perhaps now, perhaps tomorrow, perhaps hundreds or thousands or tens of thousands of years later...

When he awakens, he will destroy this world.

The only method to prevent his awakening is to devour the highly cultivated individuals in this world—Hongjun, the Three Sages, the twelve Golden Immortals, the future Tathagata, Supreme Old Lord, Lu Ya, Jade Emperor...

And then, it will be me.

Hongjun understood that the idea he had at the time didn't come to him suddenly; the giant locust tree (hair) transmitted it to him. Because the cultivation of the twelve Golden Immortals was insufficient, the calamity of slaughter was necessary, and the sealing of the gods was needed...

The reason the sky of Tathagata is filled with rainbows is because he knows the truth.

The reason the sky of Supreme Old Lord is shrouded in thick smoke is because he also knows.

The reason the Jade Emperor fears the color blue is for the same reason...

No one knows the true size of this monster; they only know that the seemingly empty blue sky is just a part of his body...
