A huge wave blocked the sun, and the entire sky became gloomy.

People around were crying, some were sitting on the ground, and some were kneeling and praying, but no one was running.

We all knew that such a tsunami could engulf the entire Hangzhou, or even the entire Zhejiang Province. There was no point in running.

Just when we were desperate.

A golden light soared into the sky from the direction of the Leifeng Pagoda, and within the golden light stood a woman in white, her gaze radiant.

"Evil spirits are forbidden on the land of China!"

This angry shout sounded like a bell tolling, and it invigorated me.

"That... that's Bai Niangzi, right?"

"Am I dreaming?"

"Is this a movie? No, even a movie couldn't create such an effect."

That woman, dressed in plain clothes, fluttered in the wind. Her wrist turned, and a light yellow treasure sword appeared in her palm. She also turned into a stream of light and headed straight towards the waves.

"The Huanghuang Sword, she really is Bai Suzhen."

I recognized that sword. Although my mind was currently in chaos and I couldn't even distinguish between virtual and reality, seeing Bai Suzhen gave me a glimmer of hope to survive.

Bai Suzhen held the sword horizontally in front of her chest with her right hand, while her left hand raised her index and middle fingers vertically, with her thumb hooked onto her ring and pinky fingers.

With a sword gesture, she exclaimed, "Stop!"

Although this word was not loud, it firmly held the overwhelming waves in place, preventing them from advancing even a bit.

"Disperse!"

As she spoke, the waves instantly shattered, and a large amount of seawater scattered in all directions. It started pouring rain from the sky, but it no longer had much impact on the people or the buildings.

The waves receded, revealing a burly man with abundant hair standing on the sea.

He was bare-chested, with inscrutable totem tattoos on his chest and back. He held a trident and sneered at Bai Suzhen.

Behind the man stood a stunning woman with an exceptionally provocative figure, but her head full of green snakes was terrifying to look at.

"Poseidon, Medusa!"

The man spoke, "Go or die."

"How dare you! The deity of punishment, dare to offend China."

Bai Suzhen showed no fear. The Huanghuang Sword danced, and nine water columns shot up into the sky, transforming into nine white snakes, fiercely biting at Poseidon.

Poseidon swung his trident, and another wave, carrying immense power, ruthlessly struck the coastline.

The sky darkened once again.

This wave was much higher than the previous one.

Bai Suzhen frowned, and a light blue barrier appeared in front of her. In an instant, the nine white snakes were shattered, and then the giant wave crashed against the blue barrier.

A tremendous roar deafened the ears. As the wave burst, Bai Suzhen was sent flying hundreds of meters back. After enduring it, she still spewed a mouthful of blood.

The wave was shattered, but the sky remained overcast.

One after another, towering waves rose at the edge of the water, threatening to turn Hangzhou into a vast ocean.

Bai Suzhen firmly stepped on the void and flew toward the waves at high speed. That white figure seemed tiny compared to the immense waves, but her courage was admirable.

"Bai Niangzi is protecting us."

"Can she protect us? She seems to be coughing blood."

"She definitely can. She's a divine being."

I didn't pay attention to what people around me were saying. I was just thinking about whether all this had anything to do with the Terracotta Warriors I had seen with my own eyes.

The airborne Bai Niangzi paused as someone grabbed her shoulder from behind.

I squinted my eyes hard to make out the person's appearance.

A human face with a snake body, red hair resembling burning flames. He also held a long spear, but the shape of the spear looked somewhat like a staff.

"Old man Gonggong, I'm late."

Gonggong! The water god Gonggong. The onewho caused the great flood in ancient Chinese mythology. I couldn't believe my eyes.

"You're here just in time, Bai Suzhen," Gonggong said with a sly smile. "I was hoping for a good fight."

Bai Suzhen's expression turned serious. "Gonggong, you're causing chaos and endangering innocent lives. I won't let you succeed."

With a flick of her wrist, Bai Suzhen summoned a powerful gust of wind that pushed Gonggong back. She then flew towards the waves once again, determined to protect the city.

I realized that this was a battle between two ancient deities, and the fate of Hangzhou hung in the balance.

Gonggong roared with anger and swung his spear, creating massive whirlpools in the ocean. The waves grew larger and more violent, crashing against the city with even greater force.

Bai Suzhen's eyes glowed with determination. She channeled her energy into the Huanghuang Sword, causing it to emit a brilliant golden light. With a swift and graceful motion, she slashed through the air, creating a powerful shockwave that cut through the oncoming waves.

The shockwave collided with Gonggong's whirlpools, creating a massive explosion that shook the entire city. Buildings crumbled, and people were thrown off their feet.

But Bai Suzhen didn't give up. She continued to fight, her movements elegant and precise. With each strike, she weakened Gonggong's attacks and protected the city from destruction.

The battle raged on for what seemed like an eternity. The sky darkened even further, as if the forces of nature were in turmoil. Bai Suzhen's white clothes were stained with blood, and her movements became slower, but she refused to back down.

Finally, with one last mighty swing of her sword, Bai Suzhen unleashed a tremendous burst of energy. It collided with Gonggong's spear, creating a blinding explosion of light.

When the light faded, Gonggong was nowhere to be seen. The waves subsided, and the sky cleared. The city of Hangzhou was saved.

Bai Suzhen slowly descended from the sky, her body covered in wounds. The people rushed to her side, offering their gratitude and support.

"Thank you, Bai Suzhen. You saved us," I said, my voice filled with genuine gratitude.

She smiled weakly. "It was my duty to protect the land and its people. But the battle is not over. Gonggong will return, and I must be prepared."

As she spoke, Bai Suzhen's wounds started to heal, and a renewed determination shone in her eyes.

"I will continue to stand guard over Hangzhou," she declared. "No matter what challenges may come, I will protect this city with all my power."

And with that, she took to the sky once again, ready to face whatever threats may lie ahead.

As I watched her disappear into the distance, I couldn't help but feel a sense of hope. Bai Suzhen, the divine protector of Hangzhou, had shown me that even in the face of overwhelming odds, courage and determination could prevail.

And so, I vowed to do my part in protecting this city that I called home, inspired by the bravery of Bai Suzhen and the resilience of the human spirit.
