I followed my brother into a dim, verdant forest, with the ground covered in slippery moss.

Deep within the dark and dense woods, it seemed as if countless pairs of eyes were watching us. Flashes of lightning revealed strange animal-like "figures" darting through the trees at incredible speed.

They had slender limbs, silver-white smooth skin, and no visible faces. They jumped around like frogs, their limbs propelling them forward.

A clear "crack" sound came from behind me, as something stepped on a dry twig.

I was frozen in place, hearing an eerie "gurgling" sound.

An icy aura of death surrounded me, and I had never felt such fear.

"There's something... behind me!" I trembled uncontrollably, uttering those words.

My brother remained calm. "Don't look back. Cover yourself as much as possible with the black umbrella, walk slowly, and don't arouse their curiosity."

Following my brother's instructions, I lowered the black umbrella in my hand to cover myself as much as possible and took slow steps forward.

"Gurgle" "Gurgle"...

In the rainy night of the forest, these eerie sounds echoed incessantly, coming from all directions!

Another lightning bolt.

Finally, I could see clearly. The tree trunks and shadows were filled with faceless monsters, their sheer numbers making my scalp tingle.

Time seemed distorted here, and I had no idea how long I had been walking through this forest teeming with monsters.

Cold sweat mixed with the freezing rain, leaving no dry spot on my body. I shivered ceaselessly, and my fingers turned an abnormal shade of purplish-blue due to hypothermia.

My brother, who was walking ahead, stopped. "We've arrived."

He turned around, took off his coat, and draped it over me. I stared in shock at the building before my eyes, trembling.

Behind the dense wire fence stood a high-tech, completely modern white skyscraper, resembling a hospital or a biochemical laboratory from the real world.

Every two meters along the wire fence, there were red flashing alarm lights. The sound of sirens I heard from inside the building must have come from here.

The sky above turned into a gloomy gray, no longer the pitch-black stormy night.

The sound of waves caught my attention. We had reached the seaside.

Behind this white building stretched an endless sea with rolling gray waves.

There were no birds in the sky or schools of fish swimming. It was completely silent.

"Something is coming. Crouch down!"

My brother pulled me down and we crouched in the woods as several biohazard-suited creatures, measuring about two meters in height, patrolled along the wire fence.

"What... is this place? What are they?" Countless thoughts swirled in my mind, my mouth dry. Were these extraterrestrial beings that had descended upon Earth?

"This is a biohazard facility," my brother said, gazing at the building, his expression inscrutable.

"How do you know all this?" I anxiously stared at him, pressing for answers.

The sea breeze tousled my brother's hair, and his eyes shimmered with a silver-gray color unseen in humans.

I held my breath!

"We roam in the

ocean, with storms as our oars. You'll never know what kind of terror lies beneath the rolling waves." His voice remained steady, reciting those words like a poem.

"They are called 'Cthulhu,' beings that arrived on this planet tens of thousands of years ago, dwelling deep in the sea, revered as ancient evil spirits by the human race. They feed on human fear."

Fear is the strongest, most primal emotion of humans!

Perhaps it was my instinct as a human to seek safety and avoid danger, but the brother in front of me seemed untrustworthy.

I suddenly stood up, wanting to escape from him, to get out of this place!

The sound of air currents came from above as a massive gray triangular spacecraft slowly descended, landing in the open space within the wire fence.

The hatch opened, and two biohazard-suited creatures carrying body bags walked toward us.
