I'm called Bai Zhenzhen, and I'm currently helplessly furious. I originally planned to surprise my parents by going home, but the result was only surprise without any joy.

"So, because our cousin's wife gave birth, all of you went to celebrate, why didn't I know about it?"

Listening to the bustling voices on the phone, there must be a lot of people, after all, having a baby is a big event.

But why didn't anyone tell me?

At this moment, I stood at the doorstep with bags in my hands, silent in front of the anti-theft door.

"You were out of town, so we didn't tell you. Okay, the key is under the doormat, open the door yourself. Your dad and I will return the day after tomorrow in the afternoon. I won't say more, your uncle is here, I'm hanging up."

Before I could say anything, there was only a beeping sound on the other end of the phone.

They hung up on me?

Oh my goodness!!

They came, took time off, and I can't go back. Looking at all the bags in the living room, I couldn't even force a smile.

The surprise I had planned went down the drain, but life must go on, right? What about the things I ordered online?

Just then, the doorbell rang. It was my express delivery.

After dealing with the express delivery, I saw on my phone that Duo Duo Mai Cai (an online grocery shopping service) had also arrived in the community and urged me to get it quickly.

What a disaster!

After going downstairs to get the groceries, I also picked up two parcels along the way. Because I just moved to a new house, to be honest, I'm not familiar with this neighborhood at all. In order to pick up the packages, I ended up taking a lot of unnecessary detours. By the time I returned home, I was exhausted.

My current home is still in an old residential area, but it's good because it has an elevator. Houses with elevators are always better when you're getting older. That's why I bought it, and of course, because the old residential area is a bit cheaper. Hehehe! The earlier you buy, the cheaper it is.

Once again, I collapsed on the sofa. This time, I really had no energy left. I had been driving all morning, didn't even drink a sip of hot water when I got back, and now I had to go pick up deliveries. My goodness.

Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, reality often delivers a painful blow.

There was nothing to eat at home, or more precisely, there was nothing ready to eat.

Well, everyone went to the wedding banquet, so why bother cooking!

At this moment, not only my heart ached, but even my eyes felt sore.

To vent my frustration, I first went out and had a hearty meal, then bought a bunch of snacks that I usually wouldn't dare to eat or wasn't allowed to eat at home.

Asking is rebellious, and buying is the best way to cure unhappiness.

After returning home, my mood improved a lot, but when I saw that there were no new messages on WeChat, not telling me was one thing, but now that I know, shouldn't they at least send a video or photo! Thinking of this, my anger flared up again. Whatever, I'll go to sleep. Love me or hate me.

I closed all the curtains, locked the two doors, put on noise-canceling earplugs and a steam eye mask, and set my phone to silent mode. From now on, even if it's the end of the world, no one can disturb my sleep.

And so, I successfully missed the community's quarantine notice, missed the property management's door-to-door inspection, and missed the residents' nucleic acid testing and distribution of supplies.
