Think about it, on a morning when the sun isn't particularly bright, you take your boyfriend to steal a car, neither eating hotpot nor singing songs, but are suddenly ambushed by zombies.

I was very angry; this is unreasonable.

Fu Yue swiftly pulled me behind him with his left hand, and with a swish of his right hand, he drew his gun and pointed it towards the source of the sound.

We both looked over simultaneously. The sound came from the front desk area, but for some reason, the upper floor had collapsed, smashing it to pieces, and the heavy, broken bricks were dead-weight on three zombies.

The three zombies had been struggling forward, waving their hands since they saw the light, passionately shouting "Welcome," but they had already lost the ability to move.

Truly touching to see such dedicated employees in Country Z.

Sighing endlessly, but with the crisis averted, Fu Yue and I sighed in relief simultaneously and turned to find a usable car.

It turned out that either this car had engine problems, or that car's keys couldn't be found. As time was being wasted bit by bit, we became increasingly anxious about Xiao Xian's safety.

Suddenly, I kicked something.

It clattered and was kicked a meter away by me.

Upon closer inspection, it was a key with a tag, and I hurriedly picked it up; the number on the tag was 013.

"Fu Yue! I found a key! Find the car numbered 013!"

Upon hearing this, Fu Yue hurriedly began scanning the numbers on each car, until almost finishing Area A when Fu

Yue suddenly patted my shoulder. I stopped and looked at him.

I saw his eyes firmly yet puzzledly looking ahead. I followed his gaze.

A conspicuous 013 tag hung in Area B's display area, below was a silver-white car, sleek and streamlined, tall and imposing.

It looked like a muscular man standing there, seemingly a bit cold, but actually giving a strong sense of security.

It had everything going for it, except it was a hearse.

"Who the hell rents a hearse as a car!" I shouted in exasperation.

But reality didn't allow us to be picky. Fu Yue understood this very well; he pulled me along, swiftly got into the car, inserted the key, pulled the handbrake, floored the gas pedal, and with a roar, rushed towards the gate.

Amidst the sound of breaking glass, a hearse roared past, the rumbling and the hissing of tires on the ground made it feel like we were driving an F1 racing car on the Bayinbuluke circuit, speeding towards the harmony of life.

Indeed, cars are men's goals, and racing is the ultimate dream of men.

Fu Yue was projecting his dream onto a poor hearse. Though I love him, I couldn't help but shout amidst the chaos:

"Drive—steady—ahhhhh——"

Right as we sped to the agreed meeting place with Xiao Xian, Xiao Xian rushed out from a corner, opened the car door, and jumped in. Before he even got steady, Fu Yue slammed the gas pedal again and sped off.

The familiar roar sounded. I looked through the rearview mirror to see the zombie tiger rushing forward with an unrecognizable stride, the commotion had already attracted the attention of scattered zombies around, and they all began gathering.

"Xiao Xian! Get the gun! The ammunition is in the backpack!"

Fu Yue gripped the steering wheel tightly, eyes wide, focused on the road ahead. When he noticed zombies gradually appearing in his view, he decisively told Xiao Xian to get the gun in case it was necessary to shoot.

Xiao Xian hurriedly pulled out the gun, gripping it with both hands, watching the situation through the rearview mirror.

I picked up Xiao Xian's baseball bat and broke the glass window separating the front cabin from the back, then crawled through intending to give the two in the front more space.

I lay flat on the ground, kicking my legs hooked on the fence hard.

I finally got through, but suddenly the four small speakers in the back started buzzing with an electric current sound.

As Xiao Xian and I exchanged bewildered looks, a piece of music, "The Moon Reflected in Erquian Springs," suddenly played.

Me: "......"

Xiao Xian: "......"

Fu Yue made a sharp turn: "Turn it off!"

The erhu music was melodious and sorrowful, making listeners sad and tearful. Amplified by the four small speakers, the rear cabin felt like a small concert hall, attracting countless melancholy zombies to rush forward.

An intense zombie chase began.

First was the lead player, the hearse, with the dark horse zombie tiger hot on its heels. All the third-place zombie competitors were converging from all directions, shouting that experienced drivers should take them along as they wanted to ride in a car.

In the leisurely third-place competitors, a few shadows stood out, leaping like dragons and tigers.

Upon closer inspection, they were elite zombies from the third group of competitors.

The elite competitors from the third group caught up with the dark horse in second place, which emitted a tragic scream and was slowly surrounded by a large group of zombies, disappearing from view.

I took the opportunity to smash the four speakers, and the music stopped abruptly.

The zombies were distracted by the zombie tiger's roars and started flocking towards it.

The three of us breathed a collective sigh of relief.

Yet before we could fully relax our tense nerves, a group of zombies suddenly charged out from a side alley, and Fu Yue hurriedly turned the steering wheel. The car couldn't withstand the huge impact and, amidst the popping of gunfire, flipped on its side, skidding three meters away.

I struggled to crawl out of the shattered glass window in the back. Just as I was halfway out, a hand grabbed my arm and pulled me up.

Fu Yue, single-handedly pulling me, scanned around while Xiao Xian guarded in front of us, tightly gripping his gun.

The hearse flipped in front of a tall building, conveniently shielding us from the zombies but not for long.

"Get upstairs!"

With Fu Yue's command, we rushed into the building, sprinting up the stairs until we reached the rooftop.

After locking the door, we retreated to the railing on the rooftop.

I saw countless zombies pouring into the building. It was only five stories high; within five minutes, they would find the rooftop.

"Is this the end?" Xiao Xian shouted in despair, holding his head.

I was also a bit stunned, my mind tense to the point of blankness. Suddenly, I felt a warm touch in my hand and instinctively looked over.

Fu Yue tightly held my hand, his gaze filled with deep emotion, worry, and firmness:

"Zhen Tiantian, I love you."

A warm rush flooded my heart, a sensation I hadn't felt in a long time. Looking at the man who returned for me, I spoke equally gently and firmly, "I love you too."

"Ahhhhh, we're about to die, and you still want to show off your love!" Xiao Xian barked from the side.

The three of us held hands, waiting for death, as the sounds of zombie roars grew nearer. A deep voice suddenly called out from behind:

"Get in quickly!"

I opened my eyes in astonishment and there was a helicopter behind us, its rotors whirring but without any other noise.

The military had finally arrived.

Afterward, we asked the four soldiers how they discovered us so timely and arrived at the scene. A burly, dark-skinned man chuckled and said:

"We heard the tragic music from far away and felt we couldn't just ignore it."

Fu Yue, Xiao Xian, and I exchanged looks, all seeing the same thought in each other's eyes.

"Thank you, hearse! Thank you, 'The Moon Reflected in Erquian Springs'!"
