I stared at the fish fry for several seconds.

The fish fry was left behind by the guy who killed the fish a few days ago. I was originally planning to raise them first, then bring them back to the countryside.

Unexpectedly, now the fish tank is broken, water is everywhere, and those fish fry that haven't grown fins yet are struggling on the ground.

My feet, which had already turned into fish tails, happened to be dangling right over the drain. It was blocked by me.

In order to save energy, of course, I was sitting directly on the ground.

The water tap was still running. The water on the ground was also increasing.

As the water increased, those hundreds of fry gradually stopped struggling and began to swim joyfully.

I don't know if those fry mistook me for someone else, but they kept trying to hide in my clothes.

Soon, hundreds of fry had all hidden inside my clothes.

Squeak, the door opened. I didn't need to look to know who had come in.

Now I feel like a useless person. If I died on my own, it would be fine, but my father, who was already over fifty, is here because of me.

And my wife doesn't know what's going on, so I can only wait and see.

"I'm very happy to see you like this now."

It was still my wife's voice, but I could tell the tone and attitude were completely different from usual.

It seemed like she was waiting for my response, but after ten seconds, she burst into laughter.

She must have realized that I was completely unable to speak now, which was why she laughed.

Now she is no longer my wife, so I'll call her the Fish Monster.

The Fish Monster walked in from outside while I was sitting on the ground.

This forced me to look up at her, making me feel like the fish that had lost its life in my hands, at the mercy of others.

But she seemed to appreciate my frightened appearance even more.

"Now you're also a fish, so you should know what it's like to wait for death, right?"

"When all your family members become fish, I'll reunite your family. I think making fish hot pot should be very delicious!"

I tried to shake my head to get her to stop harming my family.

I even shed tears, making whimpering sounds in my mouth.

The Fish Monster just coldly looked at my helpless appearance, as if seeing something else through my current state.

She left, perhaps not worried about me escaping.

Even if I ran away, where could I go? If I went out, others would just think I was a fish.

To avoid suffocation, I struggled to the bathtub in the bathroom, which was filled with water.

As soon as I touched the water, the fry on my body scattered like naughty children.

Splashing into the water. At this point, I even lamented that I wish I were just a fish.

Maybe if I were already a dish, I wouldn't have so many worries.

Perhaps I had used too much energy today, or maybe I hadn't eaten all day, I had no strength left.

Upon entering the water, I started to feel drowsy.

Even before closing my eyes, my consciousness had already disconnected from the outside world.

I began to dream again.

In my dream, I saw my deceased grandfather standing in front of the bathtub with a hunched body.

"Child, why are you so disobedient?"

Although he complained, he truly cared for me.

I heard my grandfather say many things to me, to the point where I even felt he was falling asleep.

Until he said, remember, remember.

I woke up in a daze. At this point, the fry were all sticking to me, looking like they were sleeping.

If someone with a fear of dense patterns saw this, they might really faint.

"All things have spirits, and those with spirits have emotions."

This was the phrase my grandfather told me to remember in my dream. I repeated it in my mind.

I kept replaying everything that had happened these past few days.

I saw those rows of dark fry, densely packed, especially the eyes that bulged out half of their bodies.

These fry belonged to that fish. As parents, they must be the most concerned about their children, right?

I suddenly felt like I understood something.

To avoid long nights with many dreams, I used my fish fin-like hands to pat on the bathtub.

I patted several times, causing my hands to hurt.

But the sound was not too loud. I knew the Fish Monster was still inside the house, because I could occasionally hear her talking.

Even my fish fins were shattered, and the fry in the bathtub were starting to swim chaotically.

I had no choice but to throw whatever I could at the mirror.

Clang, crash.

The mirror shattered on the wall, making a loud noise when it fell to the ground.

This time, I was not disappointed; the Fish Monster was indeed attracted over.

But she brought bad news as well.

Because my father had also turned into a Fish Monster, only he was in the stage of growing fish scales.

I was a little panicked. In plain language, how could I negotiate when I couldn't even move my hands or feet now?

Fortunately, when it arrived, I had already hidden all the fry in my gills.

My father was dragged over by the Fish Monster. She looked somewhat smug, as if she was very satisfied with her work.

I looked guiltily at my father.

Because my father had become like this, the Fish Monster didn't bother being polite in front of him anymore.

"Now then, it's just missing your son. When your son comes back, I'll send you all together to make a hot pot."

After saying that, the Fish Monster let out a cackling laugh.

I was relieved that my child had already been sent to stay at my wife's mother's house for a while. The child wouldn't be back for a short time.

I struggled to grab a fry from my gills with my fish fin-like hand.

The fry probably thought of me as its mother, because even when I lifted it above the water, it happily didn't struggle.

Perhaps because the fry was too small, the Fish Monster didn't see clearly what was in my hand at first.

When I spread out my fish fins, a small fish was happily waving on it, and then she saw clearly.

Her expression became puzzled, then surprised, and then turned sinister.

The Fish Monster must have recognized it, otherwise she wouldn't have reacted this way.

Very good, as long as there was a reaction, it meant I was right.

I couldn't help but close my eyes and relax a bit.

"What are you trying to do? I tell you, let go of my child, or else..."
