In the second semester of my sophomore year, I moved out. There wasn't really a reason; I just thought it wouldn't be fun with access control.

Actually, I didn't really want to move, but I saw someone looking for a roommate and the price was right, so I moved!

I had a little anticipation for my future roommate.

At the moment the door opened, a shadow engulfed me.

I looked up!

My new roommate was Shen Qianjin?!

I can imagine the expression on my face at that time. My jaw dropped in astonishment!

"Why is it you?"

But Shen Qianjin wasn't surprised by my arrival.

She casually took my luggage and introduced me to my room.

The room was in the style I liked. I was satisfied!

"Shen Qianjin, isn't your home not far from the school? Why are you renting a place?"

Shen Qianjin sighed, "My parents wanted to live a couple's life, so they kicked me out!"

...

During the first week after moving in, Shen Qianjin maintained her usual self-discipline and went for a run every night.

As for me, I liked lying on the sofa, eating snacks, and watching TV.

However, Shen Qianjin liked to be a bit annoying. Every time she finished running, all sweaty, she would hold onto me and not let go.

I deliberately pretended to look disgusted and said, "Shen Qianjin, you're all sweaty, and you're still hugging me?"

Shen Qianjin chuckled foolishly and said, "Hehehe, I know you won't find me repulsive!"

"I find it repulsive. Go take a shower!"

That's what I said, but I actually quite liked her hugging me. There was no smell of sweat on her body, just a faint scent of lime that was refreshing.

Shen Qianjin exercised regularly and had six-pack abs, and I liked lying on her abs while reading suspense novels.

Occasionally, I would pinch her, and Shen Qianjin didn't say anything, allowing me to do as I pleased.

I couldn't help but sigh that Shen Qianjin was truly a qualified roommate.

She cooked well and even helped me with some subjects I didn't understand.

...

Halfway through my sleep, I woke up feeling the need to pee. As I passed through the living room, I saw Shen Qianjin swallowing pills in a daze.

I asked softly, "What's wrong? Are you not feeling well?"

Shen Qianjin looked at me in a panic, clearly startled by my presence.

"Nothing, I forgot to take my vitamin C today..."

"Oh..."

I didn't think much of it and went back to sleep after using the bathroom.

Recently, there's been a popular suspense novel online. I'm terrible at it, but I love reading it. After finishing it, I can even imagine a corpse lying in the toilet when I go to the bathroom at night.

I kept imagining various dismemberment cases, evil spirits...

I knocked on Shen Qianjin's bedroom door, "Shen Qianjin... Can you come with me to the bathroom?"

Shen Qianjin accompanied me to the bathroom, and I held onto her clothes.

Shen Qianjin smirked and said, "What's wrong? Are you afraid of ghosts?"

I didn't say anything, I just held onto her clothes, not letting her go.

Shen Qianjin's face turned very frightened, "Th-there's a ghost behind...!"

I was so scared that I immediately threw myself into Shen Qianjin's arms, tears streaming down uncontrollably, "I-I'm scared..."

Seeing this, she pressed my head against her chest.

Trembling, I said, "I'm scared. I can't sleep alone..."

My sobbing became even more pronounced, and I could clearly feel my tears wetting her pajamas.

She stroked my head and comforted me, "Don't cry, don't cry. There are no ghosts in this world."

There was a hint of guilt in her toneas she continued, "I'm sorry for scaring you earlier."

I sniffled and looked up at her, "Promise me you won't leave me alone tonight."

Shen Qianjin smiled gently, "Of course, I'll stay with you."

We returned to my room, and I lay in bed while Shen Qianjin sat by my side, softly humming a lullaby.

Gradually, the fear subsided, and I drifted off to sleep, feeling safe in her presence.

From that night on, I couldn't sleep alone anymore. I always needed Shen Qianjin by my side.

She never complained or refused. She would always hold me until I fell asleep and then return to her own room.

As time went on, I started to wonder if my feelings for Shen Qianjin were more than just that of a roommate.

But I couldn't bring myself to confess. What if she rejected me? I didn't want to ruin our friendship and living arrangement.

So, I kept my feelings to myself, cherishing the moments we spent together, even if it was just as friends and roommates.

Years passed, and we remained close. We supported each other through ups and downs, celebrated achievements, and comforted each other during difficult times.

One day, as we sat on the rooftop of our apartment building, watching the sunset, I finally gathered the courage to speak.

"Shen Qianjin, there's something I've been wanting to tell you for a long time."

She turned to me, her eyes filled with curiosity.

"I... I think I've fallen in love with you. Not just as a friend or roommate, but something more."

Shen Qianjin's expression softened, and she reached out to hold my hand.

"I've been waiting for you to say that," she said, her voice filled with warmth.

And in that moment, as the sun dipped below the horizon, we sealed our confession with a kiss, embarking on a new chapter of our lives together.

We continued to be roommates, but now with a deeper connection and a love that grew stronger with each passing day.

And so, our story as roommates turned into a beautiful love story, filled with laughter, support, and the comfort of knowing that we would always have each other.
