"Where are Xiaoguang and Xiqing?"

I couldn't help but loudly ask the leather-jacketed guy standing at the entrance of the restaurant.

He replied expressionlessly, "Are you referring to the guests staying in 2016 and 2017?"

I nodded quickly, but he said, "I don't know. They have hands and feet. How would I know where they went?"

Listening to his excuses, I immediately became furious and said, "It was clearly an event organized by your establishment. They didn't come back after the party. How can you claim not to know?"

The leather-jacketed guy remained calm and said, "I was just the host. I left with you all after the party. How would I know where they went afterwards?"

"But... but..." I suddenly didn't know what to say. It was clearly the responsibility of the establishment, yet he was pushing it off as if I were being unreasonable.

I felt disheartened and was thinking about searching around when I heard someone say, "It's not just them who disappeared. All the performers who failed last night are gone too! Did you lock them up in the basement?"

The basement!!!

The rule card explicitly stated that no one should discuss anything about the basement, or they would be taken away.

As soon as that was said, the scene fell into silence.

The chubby woman in a red sweater only realized her mistake at this moment and quickly covered her mouth, but it was too late.

Suddenly, four people wearing white caps and white robes appeared from somewhere. In the blink of an eye, they effortlessly lifted the chubby woman and disappeared from the sight of the crowd.

I was trembling with fear. Due to my position, I could clearly see what they looked like.

Blood-red eyes, a collapsed nose, mouth almost split to the corners of the eyes, and a crimson, long tongue hanging down, almost reaching their chest.

What's most unsettling is their figure. The empty white robes seemed to have no bodies inside, just robes floating in the air. Yet, they had no trouble carrying the chubby woman.

By the time I reacted, the chubby woman had vanished without a trace, leaving only the lingering sound of her terrified screams in my ears.

Originally, I felt that this place was eerie, but at least everything was within my understanding.

But now, I'm on the verge of being scared out of my wits. This is definitely not something humans can do.

Could it be that in this world, there really are...

I almost dare not think further. It took me a while to recover, only to find that Lutie Xiong had been scared into a puddle of mush.
