The night falls.

I finished washing up before eight o'clock.

Wang Miaomiao opened the window and hung her clothes outside.

Xia Cui and Xu Yanyan followed suit meticulously.

I know, they both talked to it as well.

Like me, they have all become puppets without clarity or reason.

My fingers trembled, involuntarily reaching towards the wardrobe.

But my subconscious kept screaming, "Do not obey!"

I want to live.

I refuse to degrade myself into its puppet.

I opened a bottle of mineral water and poured it over my face.

The three of them looked at me in shock.

In Wang Miaomiao's eyes, I saw a flash of malice.

I became slightly sober.

Another rule from another dormitory came to mind—

"Lights out at ten o'clock every night, use a mirror to block your face to effectively prevent harm."

I secretly took out a mirror from my makeup bag and slipped it into my pocket.

I carefully checked the time on my phone.

I went to the bathroom.

I climbed into bed and lay down.

By now, the corridor was very quiet.

After last night's incident, everyone realized that something terrible would happen after lights out.

And so, the dormitory building turned off the lights right on time.

It was eerily silent all around.

I squeezed the makeup mirror tightly, discreetly took it out, and placed it in front of me.

Suddenly, a noisy footsteps broke the silence of the corridor.

"Room check!"

"Open up! Emergency room check!"

Outside, sharp cries rang out, accompanied by frantic knocking on doors, piercing my ears.

A woman pounded on our door while angrily shouting our names:

"Li Lan!"

"Wang Miaomiao!"

"Xia Cui!"

"Xu Yanyan!"

I covered my mouth with one hand, afraid to make a sound.

A girl from another dorm room shouted angrily, "Are you crazy?! Making a scene in the middle of the night? Are you trying to prevent us from sleeping?!"

Then, I heard the sound of doors opening, screams, cries for help...

Just as terrifying as last night.

I couldn't understand, why would someone open the door?

They knew that opening the door would be dangerous.

I stole a glance at the door, my heart stopping for a moment.

Wang Miaomiao stood dumbfounded in front of the door.

It was tampering with the lock.

The bright red nail polish stood out in the night.

It wanted to open the door!

It was intentional!

I dared not to stop it, nor make a sound.

I watched helplessly as it unlocked the door and pulled it open.

Giggling and terrifying laughter echoed from outside the door.

Just like the eerie female voice I heard in the bathroom stall last night.

I saw two figures floating in.

Instinctively, I held onto my mirror, shielding my face.

It was my last hope of self-preservation.

The dark figure lingered by my bed for a few seconds.

Then it rushed towards Xia Cui's bed.

"Ahhhhh!!"

Xia Cui screamed in terror.

Crack—

It bit off Xia Cui's neck.

Xia Cui's head leaned back limply, connected to her torso by just a layer of skin, her eyes rolled back, staring in my direction.

I remained motionless, suppressing the urge to vomit.

Next, it was Xu Yanyan's turn to die.

Cleaning up our dorm room neatly.

The dark figure and Wang Miaomiao left the room together.

They didn't have time to lock the door.

The corridor was filled with continuous screams.

Horror and terror, like hell.

By the moonlight outside the window,

I saw clusters of dark shadows shuttling back and forth in the corridor.

Some floated, some crawled.

They moved swiftly.

They could mimic female voices and act as different students.

It wasn't until two in the morning that this horrific slaughter ended.

The corridor fell back into silence.

Wang Miaomiao returned to the dorm room.

It stared at me for three seconds.

Then, it returned to its own bed to rest.

I discreetly opened my eyes.

My peripheral vision caught a glimpse of the reflection in the mirror.

The mirror was facing Wang Miaomiao.

It was a humanoid dark shadow.

A face without features, pale.

Only two black holes where the eyes should be, emitting a crimson cold light.
