Journey to the West: Strange Tales of the Daughter Kingdom
Approaching the Kingdom of Daughters, as the woman rowing the boat came closer, I caught a whiff of the smell of human flesh, emanating from the sachet at her waist.
Looking at the woman's face, amidst her human features, there flickered a hint of a ghostly shadow, causing me to panic and kick wildly.
Senior Sand immediately leaned in close to my ear and whispered, "Don't panic, don't let Senior Brother know."
I quickly calmed my mind and steadied my posture.
But why would the people of the Kingdom of Daughters have ghostly shadows, and why would they use human flesh for sachets?
Most puzzling of all, why was Senior Sand worried about Senior Brother finding out?
