The next morning, we went to the police station to report the case.

The investigating officer's surname was Wang. Officer Wang pointed at the person in the surveillance footage and asked, "Is this the person?"

"Yes, that's the woman!" I replied confidently after watching the footage.

Officer Wang's face showed a hint of surprise, and he coughed lightly before saying, "Actually, this is a man!"

My husband and I exchanged glances, both of us shocked.

"How could it be a man?" I involuntarily raised my voice due to the shock.

"Well, you haven't been back for a few years, so you don't know about his situation." Officer Wang seemed to be reminiscing. "His name is Zhang Sanyuan, but people in town now call him Zhang Crazy. He used to be a normal kid with excellent academic performance. We were even classmates in primary school. As we sat in the car heading home, I stared out the window, lost in thought. I happened to see a small hill near our house and suggested going for a walk there.

We reached the top of the hill in no time.
