I was cooking silently in the kitchen, but the crispiness of the tomatoes and the fragrance of the eggs didn't interest me at all.

My husband came over and hugged me from behind, but I didn't notice him at all.

He gently rested his head on my neck, and the warm breath blew into my ear, "Aling, I love the tomato and egg noodles you cook."

My husband is quite tall, and he almost leaned half of his body against me. I struggled to pick up the chopsticks and bowl.

"Can you let me go? The noodles are ready now."

Little did I know he hugged me tighter and said, "I can't let go, I will never let go."

My hand that was reaching upwards halted, and then I let it down gently, letting out a sigh.

He was stunned for a moment behind me, and then he let me go and walked away.

I brought the noodles out and said, "Let's just have a simple meal today. I'll go buy some groceries tomorrow and cook something delicious."

He sparkled with joy in his eyes and said, "Okay, thank you for your hard work, Aling."

In the past, when he said these things, I pretended not to hear him.

But for some reason, today I suddenly felt my cheeks burning.

He happily ate the noodles, panting like a little puppy.

My husband finished his food quickly and then he stared at me, asking, "Aling, what do you want to do in the future?"

I ate slowly since I felt that the noodles weren't delicious.

I thought for a while with my head down, "I don't know, maybe I'll go abroad."

My husband nodded and still stared straight at me, "Okay."

There was silence for a long time, and neither of us moved after finishing our meal.

Normally, my husband would wash the dishes, but today he didn't move.

I didn't move either.

He looked at me gently, just like when he was reading a book. The warmth in his eyes was worth more than thousands of stars.

"Aling," he whispered softly.

"Hmm."

"I'm very happy."

"Oh."

"I chose this willingly."

"Hmm."

I really didn't want to listen to him talking about this. I just think he's stupid.

But it's okay. It saved me a lot of trouble.

Now, his house and car, all his belongings are with me.

I should be happy, and I really am happy.

Moreover, he is the only heir of the Shaw family.

He was the one I've been dreaming of.

The living room light shone on his hair, and he was telling me how happy he was with me.

I smiled at him and then picked up the dishes. In my heart, I said to myself, goodbye, Mr. Shaw.

He hugged my waist and let me sit on his lap, and then he gently kissed me.

He rarely did this, perhaps because he was too stupid and still reluctant to leave me.
