Why would a company specifically recruit orphans?

I vaguely felt that there must be something wrong with this company, but as an outsider, I couldn't really grasp what the problem was.

That evening, I arranged to have dinner with Zhou Jin.

"So... how are things going at your company?"

"Not bad, I have some say there."

While speaking, Zhou Jin filled my glass with a smile, called the waiter to add more dishes, clearly in a good mood from some recent good news.

"Then, do you think it's possible... since you managed to get Zhang Jiao in before, can you recommend me too?"

Zhou Jin's hand, holding the bottle, suddenly paused mid-air, and the smile on his face froze for a moment.

"Our company... well, we haven't hired anyone for a while. I'll ask around for you... By the way, how's your programming training class going?"

"Not bad, we have over two hundred students this year."

"What age group are they?"

"Grades three to six."

... Why do you ask all of a sudden?"

"I just think, since kids can learn programming nowadays, maybe there's a way to integrate it with our business."

I laughed at his wild imagination, and he laughed too, but in the end, he still seriously clinked glasses with me.

"Boss He, I'm serious. If there's a chance in the future, we'll definitely collaborate."

That night, Zhou Jin called me.

He said that the HR department needed some coordination, but he felt that talents like me, who know programming, are rare and asked if I'd be willing to come for a visit first.

"Did you tell them I can program?"

There was a brief pause on the other end of the line.

"Yeah, it makes you seem more educated."

I hadn't mentioned this before, but Zhou Jin had thought it through quite well.

The next morning, I walked into the internal operations of the company I had been thinking about day and night.

It looked really nicely decorated, with a bit of a "big company" vibe. No wonder Zhou Jin was thoroughly convinced.

We took the elevator. As he pressed the floor button, he said he would show me around the company's health check center.

At some point, Zhou Jin's chatter suddenly stopped behind me.

I turned around, the elevator doors had already closed, and Zhou Jin was no longer by my side.
