I pressed my temples and didn't answer his question.

After talking for so long, I was starting to get a headache.

Seeing this, Officer Tang and his colleague bid farewell.

As he was about to leave, I called out to him:

"Officer Tang, I'm cooperating with the investigation right now, correct? So, can I go home? I have some matters to handle at home."

Officer Tang turned around, his tall figure standing at the door. The light shone from behind him, and I couldn't see his face clearly.

"Of course," Officer Tang paused for a moment before answering my question, "but one of our colleagues will accompany you. You are currently a key protected individual, and we are not sure if there are any unknown risks."

"That's fine. Can this female officer escort me home?"

"Why not? We don't have anything else to do next, so we might as well take you," Officer Tang replied readily.

Officer Tang was very agreeable, so I didn't refuse.

I indeed needed to go home, as there was still one very important thing I had to do.
