Qiao Lan had already set up a prominent image of being rich and beautiful before school started, raising everyone's expectations for her true identity to the highest level.

On the day I arrived at the dormitory, I glanced at the names of my other roommates and found her familiar name among them.

She arrived late only after my other three roommates and I had finished organizing our belongings.

She had an air of "the young lady has arrived, everyone else move aside."

She walked ahead alone, with an aunt and an uncle following behind her.

Out of courtesy, roommate Zhao Mei greeted them, saying,

"Hello, uncle. Hello, aunt."

"Hey, stop." Qiao Lan's face was painted very white, her foundation shade approaching an inhuman whiteness. She wore a pair of oversized sunglasses that covered half of her face, even indoors.

"They're not my parents, don't misunderstand. They're just people I hired to help me organize."

Hearing this, the aunt and uncle behind her silently exchanged glances without saying a word. They just lowered their heads, one carrying three or four suitcases, and the other started to make the bed and clean up for her.

"Since it's our first meeting, I don't know what you like, so I bought some skincare products for you."

Qiao Lan waved her hand in the air, and the aunt turned around and took out a plastic bag from the suitcase. It seemed to contain many bottles and jars.

The aunt distributed them to us one by one, and we accepted them with a bewildered look and thanked her.

"These are all things I bought when I traveled abroad, they haven't been released in China yet. Keep it low-key so others don't find out and ask me to buy them. I don't have any plans to go abroad in the near future."

She adjusted her sunglasses frames, "I've had enough fun, now that I'm in college, I should focus and not always run around."

I looked down at the skincare products, with English and other foreign languages printed on them.

Roommate Mo Mo had a delighted expression on her face and casually went up to hold Qiao Lan's hand.

"Qiao Lan, you're just as I imagined, a true beauty with wealth! You're so rich!"

"It's not bad."

Qiao Lan's lips curved slightly, discreetly pulling her hand back and scanning us with her eyes.

"I got tired of living alone in my villa, so I wanted to experience dormitory life with a group. Although you're lucky to be in the same dormitory as me, I hope you'll be mindful and not actively contact the boys for me or use me as a topic of conversation with others."

She wiggled her right index finger, "I don't like that."

I was dumbfounded. She really...

Wasn't an ordinary person.

I had a feeling that this lamp of hers would stay lit throughout college.
