Liángzhōu is indeed as vast as I imagined. There are no towering palace walls here. At a glance, it seems boundless.

I lean out of the carriage, the rough wind blowing on my face, stinging like needles, yet I feel extremely refreshed.

The scorching sun, the yellow earth, the river at sunset, the lonely smoke in the desert, we have almost traveled to every corner of Liángzhōu. Wèi Běichén accompanies me, watching me, also worrying about me.

"How is Āwǎn doing? Why does her illness not improve?" Wèi Běichén's voice outside the door carries anger.

"Your Majesty, Lady Āwǎn has always been delicate, coupled with a miscarriage, her body has not fully recovered. This journey has worsened her condition."

"Useless, all useless."

Wèi Běichén angrily slams things around.

"Your Majesty." I weakly call out.

He strides in quickly.

"Āwǎn, let's return tomorrow."

I suppress a cough, "Alright, then tonight let's go to the Moon-viewing Tower together."

He looks at me with concern, ultimately unable to refuse me.

But I still end up being wrapped up like a zongzi by him.

"Why are there no guests today?" I ask, looking at the empty tavern.

"Miss, His Majesty had it closed off, to prevent anyone from disturbing your peace." The attendant answers cautiously.

I lower my head in silence, in truth, I do enjoy a lively atmosphere.
