On the weekend, Zhou Qin invited me to go shopping.

Since the online plan to expose the scumbag and our subsequent discovery that we were in the same city, we became good sisters and would occasionally meet up for meals and shopping.

We walked hand in hand while shopping.

Suddenly, a girl in front of us screamed in surprise, and in front of her stood a stranger who had walked out of the crowd.

As the crowd gathered, music slowly played, and they danced together to the music.

We involuntarily stopped in our tracks.

After the dance ended, each dancer unexpectedly took out a rose from behind and handed it to the girl.

The girl was both surprised and happy, covering her mouth in excitement, looking incredulously at this grand surprise.

I dragged Zhou Qin to watch the spectacle with curiosity and said confidently,

"It must be a proposal, do you believe me?"

Zhou Qin shook her head, "I don't think so."

Her words ignited my competitiveness.

"Then let's make a bet. I say it's definitely a proposal."

"Okay, let's bet." Zhou Qin fearlessly agreed, "The loser has to promise the winner a condition."

I sneered and disdainfully extended my pinky finger.

"I've already won!"

She hooked her pinky finger with mine and made a strong statement to me.

"I won't lose!"

Just as we were talking, a man wearing a white shirt suddenly appeared among the group of dancers. He held a large bunch of roses in his hands and walked up to the girl, kneeling down on one knee.

It was like a scene from a TV drama proposal.

I excitedly patted Zhou Qin's shoulder.

"I won!"

Zhou Qin looked at me speechlessly.

But when I turned my head again, I saw the young couple whispering to each other. The girl walked towards me with the roses in her hands.

I looked left and right, but she stopped in front of me.

I was puzzled and pulled Zhou Qin's hand.

"Sister, I'm very happy today, and I hope happiness can be passed on to you!"

As she spoke, she handed me the roses.

I stared blankly at the roses, still unable to recover from the shock.

"Tha... thank you... I wish you eternal happiness."

"Sister, the same to you."

The girl turned around and happily ran away with the man.

I held a large bouquet of roses and became the center of attention in the crowd.

Zhou Qin exclaimed, "Yeah!" and smiled triumphantly at me.

"I won."

She grinned mischievously, "You have to promise me one condition. I've already thought of it. I want to give you a gift, and you can only accept it, no returns."

I looked at her in confusion.

Why does everything tonight feel strange, I can't quite put my finger on it.

"Here," she pointed to a place in the distance illuminated by a bright light, the light was so dazzling that I couldn't see what it was.

I squinted, trying to make it out, and slowly, within that beam of light, a tall figure seemed to appear.

The person was walking towards us.

I strained my eyes until he reached us, and my gaze finally focused.

"The gift I want to give you has arrived—this man who has been with our family for over twenty years, I'm officially giving him to you now."

Zhou Qin covered her mouth and chuckled, "You promised, you can't refuse."

Zhou Qi stood backlit, surrounded by a halo of light.

Mysterious and dreamlike.

He held a small red box in his hand.

My heart skipped a beat, everything tonight felt like a dream.

I stuttered and asked,

"Is it... too soon for a proposal...?"

Zhou Qi burst out laughing.

"If I propose now, will you say yes?"

"I..."

I hesitated.

He opened the small box, revealing a bracelet with a diamond that sparkled under the lights.

"Don't put so muchpressure on yourself. This is not a proposal," Zhou Qi said with a smile. "It's a gift to celebrate our friendship and the happiness we've found in each other's company."

I let out a sigh of relief, feeling a mix of emotions. "Thank you, Zhou Qi. This means a lot to me."

He stepped forward and gently put the bracelet on my wrist. As he fastened the clasp, he looked into my eyes and said, "Our friendship is precious to me, and I want us to continue creating beautiful memories together. This bracelet symbolizes that bond."

I smiled and touched the bracelet, feeling the weight of its significance.

"I cherish our friendship too, Zhou Qi, and I'm grateful to have you in my life."

Zhou Qin, who had been watching the scene unfold, couldn't contain her excitement any longer. She hugged both of us tightly and exclaimed, "I'm so happy for both of you! This is the best outcome!"

We all laughed and embraced each other, basking in the warmth of friendship and the joy of the unexpected turn of events.

From that day on, whenever I wore the bracelet, it reminded me of the special bond between Zhou Qi, Zhou Qin, and me. It served as a constant reminder of the beautiful surprises life has in store and the value of true friendship.
