Two years after falling in love, I registered for marriage with Jing Chi and held a grand wedding.

Shortly after the wedding, I felt unwell and went to the hospital for a check-up, only to find out—I was pregnant.

When Jing Chi heard the news, he was dumbfounded:

“Could it be a mistake?”

Jing Chi's mother is the head of the internal medicine department at the hospital. She patted her son's head and said, “Silly boy, if such a small matter could be mistaken, the hospital would have to close down.”

“You, you're going to be a father.”

“But Manman has infertility issues.”

Jing Chi's mother looked unfazed, “When it comes to having children, sometimes the more you seek it, the less likely it is to happen; when you least expect it, it happens on its own. Many cases have been diagnosed as infertility, only to end up pregnant in the end.”

“Why are you hesitating like this, don't you want it?”

“I do, of course I do.” Jing Chi's face lit up with joy as he lifted me up, “Manman, we're going to have a baby.”

“Be gentle.” His mother raised her hand and gave him a slap on the back of his neck, “In the first three months of pregnancy, the embryo is not stable yet, so be careful. Also, pregnant women should avoid strenuous exercise during this time, so you better not mess around, young man.”

“Oh, I got it.” Jing Chi promised with a look of grievance.
