After a busy period, some time passed.

One morning, when I opened the door, I found a big pile of garbage outside my house. It was the middle of summer, and the smell was extremely strong.

I frowned and swept up the garbage, then went downstairs to throw it in the trash bin.

When I returned home in the evening, I found another heap of trash at the doorstep.

Today was said to have reached a high temperature of 40 degrees, and the garbage, after fermenting in the heat, emitted a strong rotten smell. After a busy day, I almost vomited.

At that moment, the lady from the opposite house opened her door and looked at me sympathetically, saying, "Did you provoke that naughty child from the neighboring family?"

"I heard some noise this morning, and when I looked through the peephole, it was that child bending over and throwing trash at your doorstep."

"I scolded her when I opened the door, and then she stopped."

I was so angry that my head felt like it was splitting into several pieces.

That naughty child started to fight back.

My fighting spirit was instantly ignited.

After living for more than twenty years, could I not handle a brat?

I installed a mini surveillance camera near my door overnight.

It seemed like the child noticed that there was no garbage in front of my house for several days.

However, a more troubling issue arose recently.

Every day, I needed to leave my house at 8 o'clock to go to work, and I had to catch the subway by 7:40 at the latest.

According to my walking speed, it would take me six or seven minutes to walk from home to the subway station, which was more than enough time.

But recently, the elevator on our floor was always out of service. The display showed that it was stuck on the 20th floor.

Helpless, I had to climb the stairs. When I reached the first floor and looked at my watch, it was already too late to take the subway.

I had to take a taxi instead, and I ended up caught in the morning rush hour traffic. I was almost late for several consecutive days.

Sister from the 12th floor, who also went to work, noticed this issue and reported it to the property management group.

This complaint revealed several other people who faced the same problem as us.

"Yesterday, my wife had acute appendicitis, and the elevator didn't come. I carried her on my back and climbed down the stairs to the 19th floor. Nearly exhausted me."

"Yesterday, I took our dog, Da Huang, downstairs for a walk. We waited for the elevator for twenty minutes, but it didn't come down. In the end, I couldn't take Da Huang out for a walk, and he was so mad at me that he didn't want to play with me today."

Everyone began sharing their experiences from the past few days.

Property manager Xiao Zhang went door-to-door to understand the situation.

I also mentioned the incident of the naughty child throwing garbage at my doorstep recently.

The next day happened to be a weekend, and sure enough, the elevator was still stuck on the 20th floor.

As I climbed up the stairs, I happened to see that naughty child squatting in the elevator, sticking out his chubby legs and blocking the center.

When he saw me approaching, his face showed no reaction, but he made a grimace at me.

I captured this scene on camera.

"The child is stuck in the elevator on the 20th floor. That's why we can't take the elevator every day," I said.

On the weekend, everyone was looking at their phones, and soon most of the residents in the building gathered at the elevator door on the 20th floor.

"Child, what are you doing?"

"It's wrong to prevent everyone from taking the elevator."

Property staff Xiao Zhang pulled the child out of the elevator.

The naughty child opened his mouth and began to cry loudly.

"Ah, Mom, save me! They're bullying me!"

This loud cry successfully called her mother over.

"What's going on? Are you all bullying my child?"

His mother took the child away, with a disdainful expression on her face. "So what if children play in theelevator? What does it have to do with you adults?"

Property manager Xiao Zhang explained the situation to her and said, "Playing in the elevator is not only dangerous but also affects the normal use of the elevator for other residents. We have received numerous complaints about this issue."

The mother's expression changed. She scolded her child and apologized to everyone present.

After that incident, the elevator was repaired, and the child was strictly forbidden to play in it.

Life in the building returned to normal, and the garbage throwing incidents also stopped.

Through this experience, the residents of the building learned the importance of communication and cooperation. They became more aware of the impact their actions could have on others and the need to respect shared spaces.

From then on, the building became a harmonious community, where everyone looked out for one another and lived in peace.
