Three months later, Liang Yu found me.

I opened a coffee shop in a small city in the south, with beautiful scenery.

By now, I had changed my identity. I was no longer Tang Qiuyan or Li Yaoyao. Now I go by An Xin and I am the owner of a coffee shop.

I poured a cup of coffee for Liang Yu and said, "Give it a try. I still have a talent for making coffee."

Liang Yu took a sip and frowned, "Yaoyao, you're too impulsive. You killed two humans and the research institute has already found your whereabouts. They will soon discover you here."

"I came here to warn you in advance. You need to escape."

I laughed, "So what if they catch me? They have studied dozens of superhumans, but they still can't contain me with their limited abilities."

"Besides, they can't find me either."

While speaking, I smiled at him and said, "Liang Yu, if I didn't purposely leave you clues, with your uncultivated mind, would you be able to find me here?"

Liang Yu's face instantly changed, but he still pretended to stay calm, "Yaoyao, have you misunderstood me?"

I smiled and propped my chin, looking at him, "I've always been curious. Why were the people from the Institute able to contact my parents and know about my existence? Now I realize it was you."

"I trusted you completely at the time and revealed my true identity. I didn't expect you to betray me."

I took a small square box out of my pocket and threw it in front of Liang Yu.

"This thing you gave me is not for emergency contact, but for locating my position."

Liang Yu suddenly became nervous, he looked at me and instinctively wanted to run.

I glanced at him and he froze in place, unable to move.

Liang Yu suddenly smiled bitterly, "I didn't expect your abilities to have evolved so much."

I chuckled, "Stop pretending. You knew long ago. I'm different from the other superhumans. I was able to recognize my own mental world early on and learn knowledge faster than other superhumans. That's why the Institute couldn't fully dissect me even after months of capturing me. They couldn't come up with a perfect dissection plan for such a sophisticated superhuman."

"And you, the lowest-ranked superhuman, you're not powerful enough and you can't disguise yourself. But you've been living well all this time. I think it's because you chose to become a traitor. You worked for the Institute, utilized your identity to find other superhumans, betrayed their whereabouts to the Institute, and traded it for time to live."

This also explains why there were past interactions between Tang Qiuyan and Liang Yu in the files.

Liang Yu's face turned pale, "I just wanted to survive. What's wrong with that?"

I shrugged, "You're right, but as a person, I hate betrayal the most."

Whether it's Liang Yu or my parents, I couldn't accept the fact that someone I trusted betrayed me.

Liang Yu snorted indifferently, "It's best for you to come back with me. Otherwise, the people from the Institute will definitely find this place."

I shook my head, "When I escaped from the Institute, I brought a tube of reagent they prepared for superhumans. Just a little bit of it can destroy superhumans right where they stand and turn them into statues."

Liang Yu's face filled with shock as he looked at the coffee on the table.

Epilogue

It's a sunny weekend.

Tourists came to have coffee and after placing their orders, they pointed at the statue by the door curiously and asked, "Boss lady, this statue looks really nice. Can we take a photo with it?"

I happily nodded.
