After listening to his roommate's account, Gu Heng chuckled in anger.

He glanced at Shen Yuan, his thin lips slightly curved, a chill spreading from the corner of his lips, a cold aura emanating from him, making my heart skip a beat.

But Shen Yuan was still unaware, thinking Gu Heng was smiling at her, she couldn't help but smile back sweetly.

"Brother... Heng Brother." Shen Yuan still felt a bit lingering fear, quickly changing her address.

Seeing Gu Heng's unchanged expression, she continued with a stiff smile, "If the item wasn't from you, then this might be a misunderstanding."

"In that case, then this matter..."

"Call the police."

"I have already contacted the police. Let the authorities investigate and make a judgment on the truth of the matter," Gu Heng said coldly.

Ignoring whatever Shen Yuan had to say next, Gu Heng directly dialed the emergency number.

Perhaps due to Gu Heng's status or the involvement of money, the police arrived quickly, in less than half an hour, along with school officials.

Shen Yuan stood frozen in place, her face almost turning pale.

She probably didn't expect things to escalate to this extent.

Normally, in such situations, it would either end with an argument, she returning the item, or the guy trying to smooth things over, vehemently defending himself, and eventually letting it go.

But escalating to calling the police over a necklace, she had never encountered such a situation before.

As the situation drew attention, students passing by couldn't help but stop and watch.

Gu Heng remained composed, while Shen Yuan visibly showed nervousness.

If their roommates had a slight suspicion towards Gu Heng before, after the police arrived and they saw the contrast in their expressions, it was almost certain.

"It seems like Gu Heng really has nothing to do with this. He looks quite relaxed now, doesn't seem like he's done anything wrong," one roommate whispered to me.

Another roommate nodded in agreement.

I knew they were trying to reassure me, worried that I might have doubts about Gu Heng. But when Shen Yuan heard this, the meaning of their words seemed to change, instantly infuriating her.

"What do you mean by that? I may look nervous, but it's because I'm scared of the police," Shen Yuan snapped.

"This has nothing to do with me. I just received something he sent me. I'm also a victim here. Maybe they planned this to frame me!"

"Get your facts straight before you speak, okay?"

Shen Yuan cursed loudly.

Her roommates were stunned into silence by her outburst, eventually closing their mouths and not saying another word.

"And you!" Shen Yuan glared at me angrily. "Are you satisfied now?"

"Does it make you happy to see me embarrassed?"

"This is definitely your doing to frame me!"

I glanced at her, not getting angry.

It's normal for the culprit to be anxious as the truth is about to be revealed.

"Let the evidence speak. It's not certain who is framing whom yet," I chuckled.

Gu Heng had already hired a hacker to check the login records of the account for the past month, which showed that besides our two phones, no other devices had logged in.

It appeared that the order was placed from his phone.

The police conducted a fingerprint analysis on his phone and found no trace of Shen Yuan's fingerprints.

Other clues also did not link back to Shen Yuan.

As time passed, Shen Yuan's expression gradually relaxed, eventually turning arrogant, as she coldly sneered at me, "Lin Wan, I told you this has nothing to do with me."

"You've escalated this situation to what it is now. What are you going to do about it? You owe me for my mental distress."

Before I could respond, Gu Heng calmly spoke up, "Don't worry, if you are truly innocent, you will be compensated."

Shen Yuan was taken aback for a moment, her voice immediately softened as she said to Gu Heng, "I'm not unreasonable. If you apologize to me, we can put this matter behind us."

"Actually, this whole thing is Lin Wan's fault. She insisted on blowing this out of proportion."

"I had already told her there was a misunderstanding and asked her not to bother you, but she wouldn't listen."

Feeling confident in her stance, Shen Yuan's tone became more arrogant.

Since the situation had escalated, she no longer held back, openly speaking ill of me in front of Gu Heng.

She even subtly moved closer to Gu Heng, clearly trying to convey something.

But soon, she lost that train of thought.

Gu Heng's phone rang, and upon reading the message, a cold smile tugged at his lips, "The evidence has arrived."
