"Yu Jiang!"

I looked up and saw Xiao Yan had somehow gotten hold of my phone in my bedroom.

"Shouldn't you explain what this is?"

I didn't know how she unlocked my screen, but at the moment, my WeChat was open to a private conversation.

Xiao Yan was furious and launched herself at me, fists flying.

I glanced at her, knowing that Yu Jun was hoping my mom wouldn't wake up.

He wanted to take care of my mom for the rest of his life and profit from the good image.

Obviously she didn’t realize this, even when Yu Jun just walked in the door.

Before he could react to the mess in the room, Xiao Yan pounced on him.

"Dad, let's not bother with Yu Jiang's mother. Besides, you've been promoted. Keeping her around is useless. It's better to wait for her to die so we can collect the insurance money."

Yu Jun's face stiffened, and after glancing at me, he quickly slapped Xiao Yan.

Although it was for show, the slap was hard, sending Xiao Yan crashing to the ground.

Next moment, she got up with teary eyes, rushed out, and even bumped into Xiao Hong who had just arrived at the door.

"Yan Yan?!"

Seeing the slap mark on Xiao Yan's face, Xiao Hong gasped in disbelief.

“Yu Jun, you're not going to do anything about this bastard hitting Yan Yan?”

She looked absolutely heartbroken.

"I hit her. She's spoiled because of you." Yu Jun spat out, showing a cold and unsympathetic side.

His status was now high, and the children of his colleagues were as excellent as ever. Naturally, he no longer tolerated Xiao Yan's daughter-like behavior from before.

"Xiao Yan is really my daughter?"

Even I didn't expect this, but Yu Jun started to believe that with his superior genes, he couldn't have given birth to a daughter as stupid as Xiao Yan.

Xiao Hong, in a rage, grabbed the ashtray from the table and threw it at Yu Jun.

"You heartless man, I've followed you for so many years without status or reputation, and now that you're successful, the first thing you want to do is cut ties with us!"

Yu Jun, realizing his guilt, allowed her to vent her frustration.

Next moment, his phone rang. Glancing at the caller ID, he seemed startled.

After answering the call, urgent voices came through: "Mr. Yu, someone claiming to be your daughter is causing chaos in your wife's hospital room, demanding to remove her from the ventilator."

I knew Xiao Yan had taken the bait.

When I deliberately exposed my phone and password in front of her, I anticipated this.

But what she didn't know was that I had already settled things with my mom. Someone had been with her in the hospital room, and there was an even bigger surprise to come.

"Damn it!" Yu Jun exploded, pushing Xiao Hong aside. "All this trouble is caused by your daughter. If this affects my promotion this year, you both are done!"

Leaving me and a bewildered Xiao Hong behind, he rushed out in a panic.

I knew he was terrified of this situation spreading. This mother and daughter were like a time bomb to him now.
