When I entered the house, Dou Dou wagged its tail to greet me.

Dou Dou is the corgi that I raised. I have loved dogs since I was young. After I started working, I immediately went to the dog kennel to pick up Dou Dou and brought it home. Lu Yun doesn't like pets, so Dou Dou and I are the closest at home.

I squatted down to pat its head, but behind me, I heard the surprised voice of my mother-in-law: "Shen An, why are you still keeping a dog? It's fine if you want to raise one, but letting the animal run around the house without any rules is simply unacceptable!"

Dou Dou sensed the unfriendly person in front of it and immediately turned around, baring its teeth and growling.

Du Tian walked in and encountered the fierce appearance of Dou Dou, which startled her. After realizing it was a corgi, she said with resentment, "I hate dogs the most."

"Dogs might not like you either," I replied indifferently.

"This dog looks aggressive. What if it hurts someone?" My mother-in-law's face didn't look good. "Moreover, Du Tian is pregnant. Keeping a dog is not good for the child."

I coaxed Dou Dou into the cage, stood up, and walked inside expressionless. "Love it or leave it."

"Mom, please stop. After all, she has never been a mother, so she doesn't understand," Du Tian's soft voice sounded, with a hint of grievance and show-off.

Listening to her, I felt my fists clenched. It was incomprehensible how one can feel superior just because they have a child.

Acting all high and mighty just because they gave birth, as if they were the Empress of the palace carrying the dragon heir.

I couldn't help but laugh at the thought of these two women treating Lu Yun like an emperor.

Treating trash as a treasure.

I threw all of Du Tian's belongings into the guest room and then carefully inspected the surveillance cameras in the living room.

My mother-in-law watched from the side and sneered, "Who are you trying to protect with these surveillance cameras? No one wants to steal your junk."

"Who knows? Just because people haven't stolen anything doesn't mean they won't." I hinted and smiled, "Some people simply have no shame."

After saying that, I ignored Du Tian's ashen face and walked straight out of the house.

There were some things I needed to understand quickly, as it would benefit my future plans.

I couldn't tolerate these two idiots at all.

I made an appointment with a lawyer and carefully asked about the maximum benefits I could obtain in my current situation. Du Tian's words conveniently proved that Lu Yun had an affair during the marriage, but in reality, the child had no blood relation to Lu Yun, which was advantageous for me.

Moreover, the marital status would naturally be dissolved after Lu Yun's death, and their threats of forcibly moving into my house would also have the public opinion on my side.

When most of the details were settled, I received a message on my phone.

It was a notification from the software connected to the home surveillance.

It informed me that someone was maliciously obstructing the surveillance angle.

I opened it and saw that my mother-in-law deliberately covered up the surveillance in my living room with clothes. However, she probably didn't expect that I had also installed another camera from a different angle and had perfectly captured the entire process of her tampering with the surveillance.

Since I often use the surveillance to check on the condition of my dog at home, the camera's functions were very comprehensive. It recorded their conversation word for word and could even stream it to me in real-time.

I saw my mother-in-law sneakily pick up the dog cage. Just as I had left, she and Du Tian left the house with the dog.

Oh, they decided to blame my dog for everything.

All because Du Tian is pregnant, so they want my dog to make room for them?

They really are taking advantage of the situation.

I was filled with anger. Dou Dou was very important to me, but luckily, I had been cautious and installed cameras at home and in the community. I still had time to go back now.

I immediately bid farewell to the lawyer and hurried back home.

Coincidentally, I ran into Du Tian with the dog at the entrance of the community.

Looking at her tightly holding the dog cage, I couldn't help but smile sarcastically. "What? Are you not afraid of dogs anymore?"

Du Tian remained silent, and her face no longer had the pitiful expression she had when facing my mother-in-law.

Well, anyone who can come up with a plan to use a PowerPoint presentation to attack my reputation must not be a good person.

She looked at me hatefully and said, "Why wasn't it you who got into a car accident?"

"Because I'm a good person and won't receive any retribution." I smiled and looked at her, speaking softly, "Lu Yun was the first to receive retribution. Guess when it will be your turn?"
