Two minutes later, the door opened.

A petite girl in pajamas rubbed her eyes and looked at Wang Yuxin. "You're injured again?"

Wang Yuxin coughed lightly and pointed at the kitten in my arms.

"It's him, please take a look for me."

The girl glanced at me and then at the kitten, with a bewildered expression. "Wang Yuxin, I treat humans, not animals."

When I saw the clinic earlier, I had some doubts.

A 24-hour pet hospital was not easy to find, but it did exist.

I was about to speak when Wang Yuxin looked at the girl with a pitiful expression. "Besides you, who else can I trust? This minor injury is a piece of cake for you."

"I have obtained some evidence, do you want to see it?"

Instantly, the girl straightened her posture.

She patted her chest confidently, "Don't worry, my dad is a veterinarian, I can handle this minor injury."

The girl took the kitten from my arms. We went down to the basement, which was a laboratory, the girl's secret base, equipped with complete facilities.

She quickly examined it, and her expression became increasingly grim.

Not looking would keep us ignorant, but once we looked, we were startled. The kitten had multiple fractures and many old injuries that were not caused by this particular incident.

It was a cat that was frequently abused.

No wonder it closed its eyes just now. If we didn't bring it to the hospital today, it would have died sooner or later.

And the obvious culprits were Qin Jia father and son.

The more the girl examined, the more shocked she became. Her movements became increasingly gentle, afraid of hurting the kitten.

The kitten was obedient, seemingly aware that we were rescuing it, only softly whimpering.
