It turned out that Lin Antang was indeed sick.

She would suddenly appear and startle you while you were relaxing in the sun, and then she would coldly snort and leave.

Or maybe it would happen when you were peacefully enjoying your wonderful and cozy time. She would knock on your door frantically, enter without saying a word, pat the dog, and leave.

After she did this for the twentieth time, I went crazy.

I reached out and fiercely pinched her beautiful and fair face until she showed a terrified expression, and only then was I satisfied.

Then I asked her.

"Is it that you've become mute, or have I gone deaf?"

She gave a cold laugh and uttered a few words.

"Simply lacking manners."

What a lunatic!

I called my mom and vented like crazy. After a long rant, my mom fell silent.

Then her gentle voice came from the phone.

"Is it possible that you were like this when you were a child?"

"You used to often bother the little girl from the Lin family, that's how you acted."

"And after you were done, you casually uttered a few words, 'Simply lacking manners.'"

Me: "..."

With that being said, it seems like there might be some truth to it.

During that period of time, I watched TV dramas about mental illnesses. My mom thought I was influenced and even specially invited a master to our house.

The master truly lived up to their title and revealed the truth in one sentence.

"Simply a lacking child."

I still remember that day when my mom scolded me, and my dad stood by, handing over hangers, brooms, wooden sticks, and feather dusters.

Since then, as a ten-year-old, I learned to keep a low-profile.

Well, I learned it from Lin Antang, right?

When I was young, I owed it, and now that I've grown up, I'll seek revenge.

I shed a bitter tear.

It's all retribution!
