When Yi Yin came, I was weeding in the garden.

I wiped the sweat off my forehead and spoke with excitement, "Yi Yin, look, the plants fertilized with corpses grow really well."

Before him was a field of roses, each rose growing beautifully with plump petals and a fragrance that filled the air.

Yi Yin plucked a flower, walked over, and leaned close to my ear.

His eyes were special. When he gazed at someone, they were filled with deep affection and tenderness, as if in the entire world, his eyes could only hold one person.

"Xing Xing, there are still some of your sister's belongings in the house where you used to live. I was afraid of losing them, so I didn't tidy up."

"Then I'll go take a look this afternoon."

Before I left, I specifically instructed Yi Yin to keep an eye on Jian Xi, as he wasn't as gentle as he appeared.

However, when I returned, Yi Yin had a bandage soaked in blood wrapped around his arm. His face was pale, and he couldn't stop apologizing.

He said he didn't know when Jian Xi had hidden a knife and that he stabbed him before fleeing.

I glanced around and then walked up to Yi Yin, slapping him hard.

"Your eyes don't lie. Jian Xi was never released by you!"

Yi Yin turned his head and a strange smile curled up on his lips. Slowly, his laughter grew louder, and his expression even became somewhat sinister.

"Qin Xing, you've fallen into my trap."

"Just like your sister, you developed special feelings for Jian Xi."

Suddenly, anger surged within me, and I kicked him in the chest. Yi Yin fell to the ground, his face turning pale as he held his chest and gasped for breath.

"Yi Yin, if you're afraid of retaliation from the Wen family, you can leave now."

"Xing Xing, do you think I'm afraid of death?"

7. Jian Xi's Perspective (Escape)

The door of the basement was pushed open once again, and I turned my head numbly, but it wasn't Qin Xing I saw.

A man dressed in black walked toward me.

He was thin and tall, with fair skin. He looked like a handsome model.

He wore black leather gloves on his hands, and as he approached, a hint of floral fragrance wafted through the air.

I instantly realized that he was the flower-killer Qin Xing mentioned.

I watched him cautiously.

He approached slowly and then bent down, his cold and smooth gloves brushing against my cheek. Then, he firmly held my chin.

After two seconds, he suddenly extended his hand, and instinctively, I closed my eyes, but I heard a light "click" sound.

The shackles on my wrist were unlocked.

"Escape, the farther the better."

His figure disappeared into the darkness, his voice low and hoarse but clear.

I was bewildered by him, but I understood that this was my best chance to leave.

I ran out of the villa with all my strength, only to find that it was located halfway up the mountain, with no village or store nearby.

I walked for a long time without encountering anyone.

My body felt weak, so I leaned against a tree trunk to rest. It felt as if a blade had sliced through my throat, causing a painful and itchy sensation, and each breath became unusually heavy.

I rested for a while, regained some strength, and continued walking forward.

I walked this path in a daze, and in my dazed state, I seemed to hear the roar of some large canid.

Would it be better to be torn apart and devoured by a wild animal, or to go back and continue being Qin Xing's dog?

This choice seemed difficult.

But in reality, there was no choice.

In the end, I lost my way in this dense, unfamiliar forest. The temperature dropped sharply in the forest at night.

I leaned against a tree, my whole body stiff and my limbs frozen and unyielding. There was even a hint of blood in my throat.

The roars of wild beasts echoed around me, seemingly getting closer.

I never expected that after enduring Qin Xing's abuse, I would meet such a tragic fate.

As I closed my eyes, ready to accept whatever awaited me, a warm and gentle voice broke through the darkness.

"Jian Xi, are you okay?"

I opened my eyes in disbelief and saw a familiar face, the face of Qin Xing's loyal servant, Yi Yin.

He had followed me, and even in his injured state, he managed to find me.

"Yi Yin... Why did you come back?" I whispered weakly.

He knelt down beside me, his eyes filled with sorrow and regret.

"I couldn't leave you behind. I couldn't bear to see you suffer any longer."

I couldn't comprehend his actions. After all, he had been Qin Xing's accomplice, and I had witnessed his cruelty firsthand.

"I'm sorry, Jian Xi. I was blinded by my loyalty to Qin Xing. I thought I was doing what was necessary to protect him. But I was wrong. You didn't deserve any of the pain you went through."

Yi Yin gently touched my face, his touch surprisingly tender.

"Let's go, Jian Xi. We'll find a way to escape this forest together. I won't let anyone hurt you again."

His words were filled with sincerity, and for the first time, I saw a different side of Yi Yin.

Despite my reservations, I knew that staying with him was my only chance for survival.

We ventured through the forest, facing numerous challenges and dangers along the way. Yi Yin's injuries slowed us down, but his determination never wavered.

Eventually, we reached a small village where we found help and were able to escape from the clutches of Qin Xing.

From that day forward, Yi Yin and I started a new life together, far away from the darkness of our past.

We supported and healed each other, gradually finding solace and happiness in our shared journey of recovery.

Yi Yin's loyalty transformed into a deep and genuine love, and I learned to trust again.

We built a life together, free from the shadows of our past, and embraced the love and happiness that had once seemed impossible.

This was the beginning of our second chance, a chance to rewrite our story and find redemption in each other's arms.
