Without day and night, I don't know how many hours have passed.

Under my master's instructions, I repeat the same things every day.

Eating, resting, cultivating, and so on, in this repetitive cycle.

For each task, my master maintains strict control.

But even so, I noticed something was wrong.

It started with several junior disciples, those with the lowest cultivation levels. They almost disappeared without a trace. I didn't dare ask too much, but I prayed in my heart that they would appear during my next cultivation session.

Later on, even the senior disciples with profound cultivation seemed to grow weaker.

The third senior brother was the first to vanish, followed by the fifth senior brother.

Only five disciples remained in our Master's sect.

Every time they came, they were silent, with only a hint of color when bathed in light.

The sixth senior sister always had a complex expression on her face when she saw me. I had no idea what she was thinking.

Perhaps out of selfishness, I always saved the closest spot to me for her, so she still hadn't shown signs of exhaustion.

But my recent meals had changed a bit. They consisted of some delicious meatballs with no names. I had never tasted them before, but they were really good.

I didn't need to eat much to sustain my physical energy. They even helped restore some true qi. I wonder where my master found them.

After a few more days, while I was resting, the second and fourth senior brothers came to find me secretly.

This was a major taboo.

Since the first day of my cultivation, our master had issued a strict order prohibiting anyone from approaching me. Violators would face severe punishment.

Did they dare to break the rule?

As soon as they saw me, the two of them immediately knelt down and pleaded with me to cultivate for them.

I was at a loss for what to do.

The second senior brother cried and said, "Junior brother, we have treated you well before. Now our true yuan is nearly depleted, and we are on the verge of collapse. Please save us..."

I clenched my lips, remained silent for a long time, and finally squeezed out a sentence from between my teeth, "But Master has issued a death order..."

"Junior brother!"

The fourth senior brother interrupted me.

"We can't wait for your next cultivation session any longer... Do you know where those senior brothers who couldn't hold on anymore have gone?"

I looked at them, feeling a sense of unease in my heart.

"Haven't you noticed how delicious the food has been lately?"

What?!

Could it be...

Instantly, I felt a wave of nausea, and I retched.

I had actually eaten, I had actually...

The second senior brother grabbed the hem of my clothes, tears streaming down his face.

"Junior brother, please spare our lives..."

Spare...

I didn't know what to do. This wasn't my intention. If I had the ability, I would save all sentient beings.

Facing the pleading of my senior brothers, I could only cultivate, once again connecting with heaven and earth, bringing them light.

Since then, every day, I still had to eat those delicious meatballs to restore my strength, even though I felt uneasy in my heart. But I was so hungry...

The faces of the second and fourth senior brothers improved day by day, but I grew increasingly emaciated.

Until one day, while I was cultivating for the two senior brothers, Master suddenly arrived, his anger like thunder.

"Traitor, how dare you!"

That day, in front of the remaining three disciples, Master summoned thunderbolts as vast as a river, pulverizing the two senior brothers into flesh and blood.

"Elder, gather the flesh and blood and put them in the kitchen."

Master left.

Only the three of us, senior brothers, remained, looking at each other, the atmosphere strangely silent. None of us could utter a word.

Life is truly unbearable.
