We arrived in the room and found that the lights were turned off. Many red candles were lit in the corners of the room.

The flickering candles made the room dimly lit. I saw many red threads wrapped around the beams, with bells tied to them. The floor was wet and slippery, probably from freshly poured rooster blood.

Zhang Shu pulled me to the center of the room and handed me a talisman, saying, "Zhu Zi, you will stand here and not make any movements. When your sister-in-law appears, you just need to place this talisman in front of you. She won't harm you."

I swallowed nervously and hesitantly walked towards the center of the room. The candlelight flickered, and it was quiet all around.

Just as I stood still, I heard Zhang Shu murmuring some incomprehensible words. In an instant, I felt the temperature in the room drop suddenly, and I immediately felt a deep bone-chilling coldness, causing me to tremble slightly.

Like a gust of wind blowing through, the candle flames were extinguished, and the bells rang loudly. I knew my sister-in-law had arrived.

I felt my palms sweating. Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my shoulder. When I lowered my head to look, I was almost scared to scream.

A charred figure with sharp teeth was biting my shoulder. My shoulder was bleeding profusely, but it seemed to excite him even more as he stretched his head into the wound.

I shouted, "Zhang Shu, my sister-in-law is here, save me!"

Seeing this, Zhang Shu was shocked and kept muttering, "It's impossible, how could she harm Zhu Zi? It's impossible."

I felt as if my shoulder was about to be ripped off. The pain made me unable to think too much. I continued to plead desperately to Zhang Shu, my tone filled with misery.

My mother shook Zhang Shu's arm in fear, and only then did he snap out of it and rush to my side.

Seeing my sister-in-law crouching on my shoulder and feasting on fresh blood, Zhang Shu furrowed his brow and cursed, "So that's how it is! You female ghost, who knows what opportunity you've gained, actually developing the ability to nourish your soul by devouring human blood. But since you've encountered me, I'll make you disappear today!"

After saying that, Zhang Shu suddenly squatted down and cut his own palm. He took out a talisman and forcefully stuck it on the ground in the center of the room.

In an instant, the entire room was illuminated. I felt an immediate relief on my shoulder. When my sister-in-law was exposed to the golden light, she let out a piercing scream. Unable to bear it, I covered my ears and saw the ghostly figure turn into a wisp of white smoke, slowly drifting into Zhang Shu's pocket.

I breathed a sigh of relief, and the room returned to brightness. Was my sister-in-law really subdued so easily?

My mother, disregarding me, hurriedly ran to my brother's side, but she was surprised to find that my brother's face was still in pain, and there was even black liquid flowing from under him. His stomach seemed like it was about to burst.

My mother panicked, and she turned to Zhang Shu, asking, "Uncle, what's going on? Wasn't that crazy woman already taken care of? Why does my Iron Bull still look like this?"

Zhang Shu, also puzzled, had beads of cold sweat forming on his forehead.

Suddenly, I felt that bone-chilling coldness again. At this moment, a cold laughter came from behind us, and I turned around and shouted, "This is not good!"
