"Lin Yifeng, I heard you caused trouble at school again?"

Somehow, I suddenly found myself back in the living room of my dormitory building.

There was a bowl of plain porridge and a plate of pickled vegetables on the table in front of me.

This was the most common dinner in our family.

My dad stared at me fiercely, his dark face filled with anger.

"Now look, you've been chased back home by your teacher. Are you satisfied?"

My body felt as if it were nailed to the chair.

I couldn't move at all.

"Do you know how much money your mother and I spent to send you to that high school?"

My mom sat beside me, lowering her head, and sighed deeply.

"Why don't you care at all, my child?"

"What are you going to do if you can't get into a good university in the future?"

My dad snorted coldly and slammed the bowl heavily on the table.

"Do whatever you want, I don't care about him!"

His eyes widened, and his facial features twisted fiercely as he cursed.

"How did I give birth to such a useless thing like you?"

"It's better to raise a dog than to raise you!"

"You better die outside soon!"

Tears streamed uncontrollably from my eyes.

Through the blurred retina caused by tears,

I saw numerous tentacles growing on my parents' faces.

Twisting and wriggling, they reached out towards me.

They tightly coiled around my neck.

"If you don't start studying seriously from now on, I'll show you what I can do to you!"

Every time my dad scolded me, another tentacle would grow on his face.

One of the tentacles reached into my mouth.

It felt like it was feeding me something.

The rest of the tentacles tightened around my neck.

Until the second before I lost consciousness.

My dad continued to curse at me tirelessly.

Strangely enough,

I didn't feel any pain because of it.

Instead, I had an urge to laugh.
