Wherever ghosts gather, the sun cannot be seen.

Lanruo Temple is different, everything is normal until the sun sets.

Perhaps after the death of the tree demon, the group of ghosts is leaderless, so there are not so many weird things anymore.

But we have been walking for a long time without seeing where Lanruo Temple is.

After two days of journey, we finally saw a small city.

The border stone writes—Heishan Town.

Unlike the Heishan Town we came from, this town is unexpectedly deserted.

The shops on both sides are numerous, but always closed.

Finally, we found shelter in a temple.

Perhaps because it is too close to Lanruo Temple, the temple is dedicated to a woman.

I don't know which goddess the woman is, but the face on the statue makes me inexplicably familiar.

I feel like I've seen that face before, rooted in my memory, but I just can't remember.

The temple has no name, the statue has no name, only the poem titled on the painting of the goddess:

"Ten miles of flat lake, frost fills the sky, every inch of green silk worries about the fleeting years."

"Facing the moon alone and gazing at it, only envious of mandarin ducks not immortals."

The handwriting of the poem is also familiar, as if everything here has a great connection with me.

Master Si couldn't bear the loneliness, so he put down his luggage and left the temple.

I stared at the sculpture in a trance, but in a daze, I fell into a dream.

In the dream, I saw the goddess sitting barefoot by the lake, turning her head to smile at me.

Her smile was sweet, revealing a sharp fang, with dimples on her face.

When I thought she would walk away, she gradually disappeared in the wind like sand.

The lake also turned into a huge ancient temple, with an old stone tablet outside the ancient temple written in Sanskrit—Lanruo Temple.

The goddess appeared again, but this time she had a different appearance.

Her face was pale, her eyes filled with tears, full of resentment towards me.

She pursed her lips, and after a while, she sadly said:

"Is this what you wanted?"

At that moment, another image flashed through my mind.

The goddess was wearing a red wedding dress, standing in a magnificent courtyard.

She held a sword in her hand, muttering to herself:

"Maybe this is all I can do."

The long sword passed through the goddess's throat, staining the red wedding dress with blood.

When she died, her eyes gazed foolishly in a certain direction, with a smile on her lips.

I came out of the scene, the goddess stood in front of me, pushing me away fiercely.

I flew towards a distant place, flying out of Lanruo Temple, and also out of Heishan Town.

Finally, I crashed into a strange realm, where the sky, mountains, rivers, vegetation, birds, and beasts were mixed together.

The whole world was in chaotic disorder, with the sky under the mountain, and wolves, insects, tigers, and leopards walking in the river.

At the center of the chaotic world, there was a "person" with his back to me.

To be precise, he had a human body but covered in black scales.

His fingernails turned into sharp claws, and where the head should be, there was a huge black tentacle.

I couldn't see his eyes, but I could feel that he was staring at me.

He didn't speak, but a magnetic male voice echoed in my mind:

"Offer your soul to me, and I can help you save her."

After speaking, his huge tentacle reached out to me, splitting into a dozen strands at the top, as if trying to swallow me.

The tentacle stopped in front of me, as if waiting for my response.

A certain voice kept echoing in my mind, and my heart began to waver.

For a moment, I wanted to agree to him.

But the next moment, an infinite power suddenly erupted from my body, black and white colors intertwined on me.

I softly uttered:

"Heaven and Earth are boundless, borrowing the law of the universe."

Such a huge power only brought a moment of clarity to the chaotic realm, and finally all gathered together.

Its sharp, piercing laughter exploded in my mind, and in a trance, the chaotic world had disappeared.

And in front of me, there was still that Lanruo Temple.

The goddess had already left, leaving only a dilapidated ancient temple.

As I was about to step into Lanruo Temple, I woke up.

Master Si had returned from the town, his face extremely ugly:

"This place...is a ghost town..."
