When we arrived in Shu, the entire court had already gathered here.

The mountains where the remains of the Yin Dynasty lie were crowded with people, perhaps protected by the power of the emperor, preventing monsters from invading.

The army of the court could only resist the invading rebel forces step by step.

The monks, who were originally pillars of the society, became fewer and fewer after entering Shu.

The insects they fed with blood and flesh would disintegrate after a brief slaughter, completely out of control.

Xu Ziyan was the first to enter the remains of the Yin Dynasty, but she tightly sealed the entrance to the ruins.

I stared blankly at the entire remains of the Yin Dynasty, and the Lu Altar had emerged from the ruins.

A strong red light filled the entire Lu Altar, where the ancient power of flesh and blood converged.

I could hear the intense wind, and the entire space became turbulent, with countless gazes converging here.

In the next moment, the light from the Lu Altar tore through the entire sky, turning into a stream of light flying towards the distant void.

The distant sky shattered inch by inch, and in the distant void, a roar erupted.

A huge shadow flickered in the void, and the statues of Indra and Brahma flickered in the sky.

Finally, the two great Buddhas completely dispersed, revealing their true forms, and the people of the world saw the true face of the Buddha.

The Thousand-Faced Demon with tentacles and the Black Mountain Goat with seven black eyes were the greatest terror in the world.

The figure with black scales swiftly flew from the earth into the sky, constantly devouring their power.

At this moment, I understood the purpose of the figure with black scales; it was to strengthen itself.

For the Outer Gods in the void, their own kind were the best nutrients; by devouring each other, they would continuously grow stronger.

Perhaps after letting the figure with black scales devour Indra and Brahma, it could contend with the primordial creatures in the void.

However, I didn't have time to care about them. A strand of power slowly drifted from the remains of the Yin Dynasty.

When the golden light entered my body, countless memories surged, and I finally knew my true identity.

I am Yin Shou, the man beloved by the fox demon Daji, the last emperor under heaven.

The scenes of the war of sealing the gods are vivid. It turns out that to activate the Lu Altar, all the power of the emperor is needed.

But at the moment when I saved Daji, my power was no longer complete.

To activate the Lu Altar, I had to kill Daji, which I couldn't bear.

So, as I lost the power of the emperor, I fought alone against the vast army of gods.

Xu Ziyan had long known my identity, as well as hers, and knew everything about the Lu Altar.

In this life, Daji exhausted all her strength and became the ultimate weapon against the Outer Gods.

The brilliant light that cut through the sky from the Lu Altar was Daji's final glory.

From then on, in this world, there was no more fox demon Daji, nor the girl named Xu Ziyan.

When I opened the remains of the Yin Dynasty, there was only a green lotus sword left on the ground.

On the hilt of the sword, Xu Ziyan carved the words:

"May you be well."

In an instant, severe pain seemed to tear my heart apart. As Yin Shou or as a guardian of the Yin Dynasty, I undoubtedly loved this girl deeply. From beginning to end, she was intertwined with my life.

But in my moment of hesitation, the entire sky darkened.

The black figure had already devoured most of the power of Indra and Brahma.

I flew forward; Daji couldn't die in vain, and Xu Ziyan couldn't be useless.

The three divine weapons of the emperor's power once again tore through the sky, and a huge bronze door slowly descended.

Whether it was the black figure, Indra and Brahma, or the primordial Outer Gods from the void, they were all isolated in the void.

No one in the world could remember their appearance or summon them.

The Outer Gods... had disappeared...

Ending

The Outer Gods were expelled from the Divine Land, and their faith no longer radiated upon the earth.

The army of rebels was quickly annihilated by the Tang army, and the heads of the demon monks were chopped off and stacked into towers of heads.

The people of the Divine Land gradually gathered their own beliefs.

They no longer prayed for the blessings of gods and Buddhas, but lived tirelessly for themselves.

They no longer lived for those elusive beliefs; the people of this world lived only for themselves.

I didn't return to the remains of the Yin Dynasty; it had already disappeared with Daji's departure.

For many years, I traveled across the entire continent, hoping to find a way to revive Xu Ziyan.

But unfortunately, there were no answers. The only thing that truly accompanied me was that green lotus sword.

Over the years, amidst mountains and rivers, I gradually understood many things.

Xu Ziyan was dead, but as long as I kept thinking of her in my heart, she would always exist in my heart.

Perhaps in ten years, perhaps in a hundred years, there would be another girl as bright as Xu Ziyan in this world.

I also learned to drink; when drunk, the pain in my heart wasn't so intense.

Many people recorded my drunken ramblings; they said my words were like celestial music.

Some asked for my name, but I never said it.

So, when recording those words, they called me the Hermit.

Adding the name of the sword, I became the famous Green Lotus Hermit under the heavens.

I wandered the world for many years, and finally, when I returned to Shu,

Under the vast remains of the Yin Dynasty, a little fox's head peeked out...
