The monkey explained to me that he didn't blame me for not seeing him for five hundred years, because he knew during that time I was in a state of panic, and he also knew that I was feeling down and only regained confidence after a long time. He said he would be happy for me.

He told me that he didn't originally want to make trouble for the little red boy, but the little red boy captured Tang Seng, stripped the monk naked and locked him outside, and when he came to rescue, the monk was hesitant and cried like a woman.

He said he didn't understand why the little red boy wanted to capture Tang Seng when he clearly didn't need to eat Tang Seng's flesh, so why bother? So, he just wanted to teach this child a lesson.

He said that converting to Buddhism is not like being imprisoned, it's just a kind of practice to temper the nature of the little red boy. He also told me that the little red boy can come back anytime to visit me and the female demon.

He felt that what he was doing was fair to me and fair to the little red boy.

After hearing this, I sneered and said, "You think this is fair to the little red boy? Being a dog in front of Guanyin, compared to living freely in the human world, which is better, don't you know? Are you really willing to be a dog for the heavens?"

This remark pricked the monkey, he wanted to pull out the golden hoop, but in the end, he just clenched his fist, then lowered his head and said, "When I made trouble in the Heavenly Palace back then and was imprisoned for over five hundred years, do you know how I got through these years? I didn't blame you guys for not rescuing me, because it was my own fault, I should bear it, but these five hundred years made me see one thing clearly, that is, the world is not as simple as I thought, even the great and mighty Monkey King cannot overturn the universe, he can only submit."

"What are you trying to say?"

"From the eyes of the little red boy, I saw myself from the past, I don't want him to go down our old path, especially me, my five hundred years were so difficult! That's why I asked Guanyin to tame him," the monkey looked at me and said, "None of us can resist the heavens."

Looking at the monkey, I suddenly felt estranged from him.

Over five hundred years ago, we gathered at the Flower and Fruit Mountain, the seven demon kings raised our glasses together.

The monkey's eyes sparkled as he said to us, "Born in the world, we should live freely. May there be no more restraints in this world."

At that time, his eyes were bright, full of spirit.

Now, his eyes had completely lost any light, listless, as if he were a puppet being controlled by the heavens.

"After being suppressed under the mountain for five hundred years, in the end, you conclude that you should obey the will of heaven and commit evil deeds for others?" I looked at the monkey and said, "On your journey to the west, how many demons did you kill? How many did you spare? It doesn't matter, like the White Bone Spirit, you didn't feel satisfied with killing her once, you killed her three times; with the relationship with the heavens, like the Kui-Wood Wolf, you were almost tortured to death by them, but did you not spare them in the end?"

The monkey remained silent.

"And what's wrong with the Jade-Faced Fox?" I looked at the monkey, "Look at yourself now, being a dog for the heavens, can't even distinguish between good and evil anymore?"

"Brother, you say I can't distinguish between good and evil, then I ask you, what is good, what is evil? What benefits me is good, what harms me is evil? No, whoever is more powerful is considered good." The monkey clenched his fists and said to me, "After being suppressed under the Five Finger Mountain by the Tathagata for over five hundred years, I have been thinking about one thing. They say that back then, the Buddha and the Demon competed for the position of the Buddha in the Western Heaven, later, the Buddha won, and the Demon lost, so the Buddha in the Western Heaven is the Tathagata, but I always wonder, if the Demon won, and the Buddha lost, then who would be the Buddha of the Western Heaven? Maybe not the Tathagata, but definitely a Buddha."

Many people believed in the monkey's theory, that righteousness will prevail not because righteousness has won, but because the winning side is considered righteous. But, in that case, should we change our original intentions?

Seeing me remain silent, the monkey continued, saying, "You say I killed the Jade-Faced Fox, I was actually upholding justice."

"Upholding justice?" I sneered, saying, "You call submitting to a seemingly reasonable heavenly way as upholding justice? Don't try to make excuses for yourself, you're just afraid, you're scared."

"Let's fight!" I said to the monkey.

It's pointless to say more, I know, the fearless Great Sage Equaling Heaven from the past is already dead.
