The Nordic gods sent Thor, and the Heavenly Court sent Sun Wukong.

Thor's lightning couldn't harm the Monkey, who faced him with ease.

Just as the Monkey was about to defeat Thor, Odin couldn't contain himself.

He launched a sudden attack, using all his power, and killed the Monkey!

The Sea of Death was a sea suspended between heaven and earth, perhaps more accurately described as a waterfall from the Ninth Heaven to the Netherworld. However, it did not flow or rush, but spread endlessly. It connected the upper Nine Heavens with the lower Yellow Springs. The calm sea surface resembled a blue cloth hanging from the Ninth Heaven to the Netherworld.
