The farther west we went, the darker the black clouds became, with massive thunderstorms underneath.

Once the White Dragon reached the vicinity of the thunderstorms, it could no longer move forward. Sha Wujing and Zhu Bajie had to stay on the White Dragon and wait for support.

Thus, a signal line was formed between the Great Tang Refuge, the White Dragon, and me.

Any encounters or incidents that Sun Wukong and I faced ahead could be communicated to the White Dragon through the intercom.

The White Dragon would then transmit the information back to the Great Tang Refuge via its satellite signal for subsequent support.

The reason why Sun Wukong and I formed the purification squad was to prevent situations where the White Dragon couldn't enter the Western Paradise.

In the compartment truck, the Prototype No. 1 lay quietly while Sun Wukong slept in the truck.

He chose a fully combat-oriented prosthetic limb, which consumed an immense amount of energy and couldn't be sustained for a long time.

So, Sun Wukong remained asleep.

As Gautama Bodhisattva once said, if Sun Wukong remained in a perpetual state of sleep and didn't need to fight, he could live another five hundred years.

By then, there might be more advanced prosthetic limbs, enabling Sun Wukong to truly achieve immortality.

However, Sun Wukong didn't want to sleep forever; he wanted to keep fighting.

Almost every major battle had his presence. Sun Wukong said that if humans wanted peace, sacrifices had to be made.

He might not be able to bring peace to humanity, but he could certainly sacrifice himself for it.

That's why everyone greatly admired Sun Wukong, and that's why Gautama Bodhisattva gave him his designation, "No. 001".

As we approached Lion Camel Ridge, the thousands of miles of land turned crimson, emitting a strong smell of blood.

Strange bodies hung from the tree branches, most of them belonging to various exotic beasts.

However, there were also some human bodies, including many exceptionally powerful ones.

For example, the body hanging on a tree was almost the size of Prototype No. 1, and its knotted muscles undoubtedly possessed extraordinary strength.

Yet, it was still disemboweled and hung on the tree, evident that it was the work of certain wild beasts.

We walked towards the distant green mountaintop, which was quite peculiar.

The bloody land around it completely vanished as it reached the green peak, as if the earth had split into two.

The green soil had uniform cracks, and walking on it could even feel a heat coming from below.

Sun Wukong suddenly woke up, gazing bewilderedly at the surroundings, and finally stared at me, asking,

"Have you noticed anything unusual?"

"I sensed a powerful force, very threatening. It forcibly interrupted my sleep."

I gently shook my head, and Sun Wukong pondered for a moment but chose not to resume his sleep.

The compartment truck raced forward, and the green mountain peak was exceptionally high, almost reaching a kilometer in height.

Moreover, it was extremely steep, with the diesel engine of the compartment truck running at almost full capacity just to barely climb up.

My idea was to ascend this green mountaintop to get a better view of the road ahead and plan our next steps more effectively.

However, when the compartment truck reached the top of the mountain, both Sun Wukong and I gasped in astonishment.

That wasn't a green mountaintop at all. The place we were on was the back of a green lion.

The slumbering giant green lion resembled a massive green hill, with its fur resembling a cluster of pine trees.

Such a gigantic mutated creature was almost impossible to confront unless a large-scale war fortress like the Great Tang Refuge was activated.

And at this moment, the enormous green lion slowly opened its eyes, reflecting our small compartment truck in its pupils...
