I kept refreshing the news, wanting to know the current situation.

So, as expected, the internet crashed.

Chen Yun drove the car onto the overpass. "Don't panic. I have a suite in the suburbs of City D next door. It should be safe there."

"Thank you." I rubbed my head. "Name your price, and I'll pay the rent."

"Consider it my thanks for pulling me out," he paused, "otherwise, I would have been the first one to be bitten."

I sighed, "What on earth is happening?"

"Natural disaster or man-made calamity," he said as if he hadn't said anything.

I turned the dial and found a working radio amidst the noisy silence of no signal.

"Emergency notice: the virus is spreading rapidly. Citizens are advised to close their doors and windows and refrain from going out! Emergency notice: the virus is spreading rapidly..."

I turned the dial back, "Better turn it off."

Suddenly, a piercing screech sounded, and despite Chen Yun quickly turning the steering wheel a few times, the car still veered uncontrollably to the side.

I crashed heavily into the car window and, when I looked up in a daze, the first thing I saw was several bald men pounding on the car door.

"They're crazy." Chen Yun let out a slow breath. "The guy behind seems to be holding a gun."

I was completely confused, "Huh?"

"So, let's run."
