White Flower agreed to go with us after hesitating, but then she started to doubt again.

On the way to the TV tower, White Flower kept wiping her tears, as if she was going to a grave.

The driver endured and didn't abandon her halfway.

Fang Ziyi sat beside her, holding her hand and comforting her, wiping away her tears.

As we approached the TV tower, White Flower became even more agitated. She threw herself into Fang Ziyi's arms and said, "Brother Ziyi, if I get bitten by a zombie, don't save me. Meeting you is enough for me."

I was annoyed listening to her. When will this end!

It's a miracle that she survived in this zombie-infested world until now.

My stupid son's heart shattered, and he turned to me in the passenger seat, pleading, "Mom..."

"Shut up!" I shouted, veins pulsating on my forehead.

The sky darkened, and crows in the sky let out sharp cries.

A mysterious round moon hung in the sky, and the car's headlights illuminated countless zombies, twisted and crawling towards our car.

The driver forcefully turned the steering wheel, but the zombies, devoid of pain, rushed toward the light and sound like a swarm of locusts.

Fang Ziyi was thrown back into the back seat, and at this critical moment, White Flower screamed at the top of her lungs.

"Ah!"

I was furious!

"Fang Ziyi, cover her mouth!" I roared.

My son hesitated and was reluctant, still trying to persuade her in a low voice, "Yoyo, stop screaming. Don't be afraid. Screaming will attract the zombies..."

All the zombies surrounding the three cars were attracted by her scream, and they swarmed towards us.

White Flower, realizing her fear, trembled in Fang Ziyi's arms and said, "Why are there so many zombies? I had no idea... Brother Ziyi, think of a solution quickly."

The two of them huddled together like ostriches, burying their heads.

At this critical moment, I said to the driver, "Turn off the lights, step on the gas pedal, and don't stop for anything."

The engine roared, the gas pedal was pressed to the floor, and the car plowed through countless zombies. Green slime splattered the windshield, and finally, we escaped from the army of zombies.

Several cars converged under the TV tower. Everyone got out of the cars cautiously, trying not to attract the attention of the zombies.

The three of us formed a group: some were responsible for keeping watch, some would lure the zombies to the TV tower, and some would observe the direction of the base... No matter how we divided the groups, no one wanted to be in the same group as Du Youyou and Fang Ziyi.

They were as useless as two stinky mouse droppings.

The two of them stood awkwardly, being left aside by the others. My son, in his arrogance, thought of me as his mother again.

"Mom, why don't you let me be with Yoyo? The three of us are a family, and we should help each other." Fang Ziyi approached with a smirk on his face. "With you protecting Yoyo, I can rest assured."

I gave him a cold look and said, "Since when did I have a daughter?"

White Flower also shamelessly approached me and said, "Mom, I'm going to marry Ziyi soon, so I'm like half your daughter."

Ugh, I've never seen anyone shameless enough to stick to others like this.

Song Liang, accompanied by another female doctor from the base, walked over. He changed into a fitted black outfit, carrying a hunting rifle on his back, and his hands casually tucked in his pockets. Standing there, he made Fang Ziyi and White Flower appear even more foolish and useless.

"Let's go together," Song Liang said proactively.

Fang Ziyi narrowed his eyes and looked Song Liang up and down. "Why are you coming over? Don't tell me you have ideas about my mom! Let me tell you, my mom won't remarry. If you want to be my 'dad,' you have to ask me if I agree!"

While Fang Ziyi was fixated on Song Liang, White Flower tugged at my sleeve and whispered, "Mom, look at Brother Ziyi. He's so jealous. It's cute."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. How could she find jealousy cute in a life-or-death situation?

Song Liang remained calm and composed, unaffected by Fang Ziyi's words. He turned to me and said, "Mrs. Fang, let's not waste time. We need to work together to survive."

I nodded in agreement and acknowledged Song Liang's sensible approach. It was clear that he had a level-headedness and maturity that Fang Ziyi and White Flower sorely lacked.

As we prepared to make our way towards the TV tower, the group split into smaller teams to cover different areas and ensure our safety. Song Liang took the lead, and I followed closely behind, keeping an eye on Fang Ziyi and White Flower.

We encountered several close calls with zombies along the way. Song Liang's expertise with the hunting rifle proved invaluable as he swiftly eliminated the threats, while Fang Ziyi and White Flower stumbled and panicked, nearly attracting more zombies towards us.

It became increasingly clear that Fang Ziyi and White Flower were liabilities in this dangerous environment. Their lack of survival skills and their constant need for reassurance and attention made them more of a burden than an asset.

At one point, we reached an area infested with a large group of zombies. Song Liang took charge and devised a plan to distract them while the rest of us made a run for it. I held my breath as we followed his lead, maneuvering through the crowd of undead. I couldn't help but notice Song Liang's calmness and resourcefulness, contrasting sharply with Fang Ziyi and White Flower's ineffective attempts to stay calm.

Finally, we reached the safety of the TV tower, where other survivors had gathered. It was a relief to be in a secure location, at least for the time being.

As we settled in, I reflected on the events of the day. It was clear to me that Fang Ziyi and White Flower needed to develop their survival skills and change their mindset if they wanted to make it in this new world. I couldn't continue to coddle them or protect them at the expense of the group's safety.

Together with Song Liang, I decided to have a serious conversation with Fang Ziyi and White Flower. It was time to confront them about their behavior and make it clear that they needed to step up and contribute if they wanted to survive.

Surviving in this new world required strength, adaptability, and a willingness to learn. I hoped that Fang Ziyi and White Flower would understand the gravity of the situation and rise to the challenge.

Only time would tell if they were capable of changing and becoming true survivors.
