As expected, Li Yao was kidnapped by masked bandits as soon as he arrived in Myanmar.

Who asked him to stay up all night and sneak out of the hotel while I was asleep to find women.

I tried to play the role of a panicked wife, waking up in the middle of the night to find my husband missing.

Soon after, we received a call from the kidnappers, warning us not to call the police or they would harm Li Yao.

I asked how much the ransom was.

They said to wait for further instructions.

I was at a loss and had to call my mother to explain the situation.

Upon hearing that her precious son was in trouble, my mother immediately rushed to Myanmar.

"Li Ai, you little slut, how have you been taking care of Li Yao?"

My mother gave me a harsh slap as soon as she saw me.

I covered my face and dared not make a sound.

I was quite apprehensive of this eccentric old woman.

Who knows what tricks she had up her sleeve to deal with me.

Just then, the phone rang again, and I put it on speaker.

"Prepare one million!"

The caller hung up after saying that.

"Mom, they want one million."

I cautiously relayed the message.

"I am not deaf!"

My mother said fiercely.

"I happen to have one million."

My mother took out a bank card from her pocket, visibly relieved.

I had seen this card before, it was the dowry given to me by my parents.

I hadn't even had a chance to touch it before my mother took it away, claiming she was holding it for safekeeping.

But I knew it was as good as gone now.

"Call the kidnappers and tell them we have the money ready."

My mother urged me to call the kidnappers, worried about Li Yao being tortured.

The call connected.

"I have the money ready, can we do a simultaneous exchange of money and person?"

I hesitantly negotiated with the other party.

"That's fine."

The other party was surprisingly straightforward.

"You and the old lady next to you come together!"

With that, they hung up the phone.

My mother was taken aback:

"How did they know I was next to you?"

"They must have placed cameras around us."

"Mom, the kidnappers want you and me to go together to ransom Li Yao."

My mother was overjoyed.

We quickly left the hotel.

Shortly after, the kidnappers sent us an address.

Upon arriving at the designated location, two masked kidnappers blindfolded us and put us in a car.

After about half an hour, the car came to a stop.

We were taken into a room.

The kidnappers removed the blindfolds covering our eyes.

We saw Li Yao tied up on the bed, motionless.

My mother shouted, "Li Yao," and threw herself forward.

"Li Yao, Mom has worked so hard to save you, you can't die."

"Mom Mom."

Li Yao weakly replied.

My mother was ecstatic.

Her precious son was still alive!

"Li Yao, Mom has paid the ransom, let's take you home."

My mother reached out to help Li Yao.

"Wait! If you want your son to live, you must sacrifice your own life!"

I dropped the act.

The kidnapping was my plan all along, to lure my mother to Myanmar, threaten her with Li Yao's life, and make her commit suicide.

"You despicable person! I should have killed you long ago!"

My mother's eyes were filled with anger.

I signaled the kidnappers to hold my mother back.

I relished in her fury.

"Li Ai, for all the years I raised you, spare me and Li Yao."

My mother pleaded pitifully.

I suddenly found it all meaningless.

I took a knife and walked up to Li Yao, holding it against his throat:

"Mom, I'll count to ten. If you don't jump out the window by then, I'll cut Li Yao's throat."

"One, two..."

"Mom, I don't want to die, I just came back to life."

Li Yao, a good son, forced his own mother to die for his own sake.

"Son, for you, Mom can sacrifice anything."

When I counted to seven, my mother jumped out the window.

We were on the 120th floor.

If my mother fell from here, Li Yao probably wouldn't even recognize her remains.

Coincidentally, through binoculars, I saw several stray dogs feasting on my mother's remains.

Now, she truly was beyond recognition.

"You're as poisonous as a snake."

Li Yao cursed repeatedly.

I walked up to him, holding the knife against his throat:

"Do you want to die?"
