My mouth twitched, and people around me looked over.

"Still not divorced? So slow."

How embarrassing, what should I do?

Just smile.

"Divorced."

Qi Yinghuai smiled and said, "Let me see."

"Huh?"

He looked innocent, "The divorce certificate, let me see."

I handed him the divorce certificate from my bag.

He picked it up and examined it, and finally nodded approvingly, "Much prettier than your wedding photo."

Really?

I took a careful look too, and it was true, maybe because I had put on makeup.

"Qiao... Wan."

Suddenly, Gu Jian's voice came from my ear, teeth gritted in anger, "Why is he here?"

Qi Yinghuai smirked and pulled me closer, "Wedding."

Gu Jian's face changed drastically, he took a few heavy breaths, and then fell straight backward.

Qi Yinghuai was stunned, "Is he... dead?"

I got angry and hit him, "Call 911 quickly."

Gu Jian's lips turned pale, sweat kept dripping from his forehead, and he clenched his teeth tightly, in extreme pain.

"What's wrong with him?" Qi Yinghuai asked.

I shook my head, "I don't know."

Over the years, Gu Jian only came home once or twice a month.

I knew very little about his situation. Although we were married, we were already people from two different worlds.

After sending him to the hospital, I found his phone in his coat.

The password was still my birthday, unchanged for these years, probably because he was too lazy to change it.

I found Zhao Qiqi's number and dialed it. When she answered, she sweetly coquettish, "Ajuan, where have you been? Both me and the child miss you."

I suddenly felt a pang in my nose. They were even more intimate than I thought.

"He's in the hospital, come over, I'll send you the location."

After speaking, I hung up the phone directly.

Qi Yinghuai stood beside me, raised his hand to pat my shoulder, but then thought of something and put his hand down.

Zhao Qiqi came quickly. As soon as she saw me, she questioned, "What did you do to Ajun again?"

She pointed at me, "He married you, gave up his son for you, what more do you want from him? You crazy woman, if you don't care about him, I still do."

"Smack!!!"

Zhao Qiqi covered her face, looking at me in disbelief.

I withdrew my hand, so satisfying!

"I should have slapped you years ago."

Her eyes turned red, like an angry cat, she slammed her bag fiercely on the ground and rushed towards me.

"What are you doing?" Qi Yinghuai stood in front of me and pushed her away.

He didn't control his strength well, and Zhao Qiqi was pushed to the ground.

I walked up to her, looking down at her, "I heard your parents are teachers, they haven't retired yet. Should I go and ask them why they raised such a daughter? She hasn't even graduated from college and is already in a hurry to become a mistress."

Her face turned pale, her eyes filled with fear.

You see, as long as there's something she values, she can't be invincible.

"In the future, stay away from me. As a mistress, you should know your place."

Zhao Qiqi got up, patted her clothes, and didn't dare to say anything more.

The doctor and nurse pushed Gu Jian out. He was already awake, his eyes fixed on me without moving.

"Wanwan." Gu Jian was fragile, reached out his hand to try to hold mine with difficulty.

I avoided him, looked at him coldly, just like he looked at me before.

Gu Jian's hand froze in the air, a glimmer of brightness flashed in his eyes.

"Wanwan, stay with me, okay?"

I glanced at Zhao Qiqi besideme and then turned back to Gu Jian.

"Stay with you? After everything you've done? After all the pain you've caused me?"

Gu Jian's face paled even more, and he struggled to sit up straight.

"I know I made mistakes, but I still love you, Wanwan. I've realized my faults, and I want to make it up to you."

I couldn't help but scoff at his words.

"Make it up to me? How? By neglecting our marriage, by cheating on me with Zhao Qiqi? Is that how you make it up to me?"

Gu Jian's eyes were filled with regret and sadness.

"I was wrong, Wanwan. I was weak and foolish. But please, give me another chance. I promise to change, to be a better husband."

"Another chance?" I repeated, my voice dripping with sarcasm. "How many chances have you already had? How many times have I forgiven you, only for you to repeat the same mistakes?"

Gu Jian's expression crumbled, and tears welled up in his eyes.

"I love you, Wanwan. I can't imagine my life without you."

I shook my head, a mix of anger and disappointment coursing through me.

"Love is not enough, Gu Jian. Love should be accompanied by trust, respect, and loyalty. You've broken all of those."

Gu Jian's shoulders slumped, defeated.

"I understand if you can't forgive me. But please, at least let me be a part of our son's life. He deserves to have a father."

My gaze softened as I looked at Gu Jian.

"I won't deny our son his right to have a father, but I won't force a relationship between you two either. If you truly want to be a part of his life, you need to prove yourself. Show him that you can be a responsible and loving father."

Gu Jian nodded, tears streaming down his face.

"I'll do whatever it takes, Wanwan. I'll change, I promise."

I turned away from him, my emotions still raw.

"We'll see, Gu Jian. We'll see."

As I walked away, Qi Yinghuai stood by my side, offering me silent support.

It was a long road ahead, filled with uncertainties, but I knew that I had made the right decision for myself and my son.

And with Qi Yinghuai by my side, I felt stronger and ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

The next chapter of my life had just begun.
