Luhai woke up, but he seems to have forgotten me.

He stared at me, his eyes somewhat confused.

"Are you my girlfriend?"

I asked the doctor.

The doctor said it's normal to temporarily not remember due to stimulation.

I didn't answer his question.

But he was insistent, asking repeatedly.

"I feel like I know you, you're my girlfriend, right?"

I shook my head, took a step back, my voice cold.

"We don't know each other, I just happened to save you."

"Is that so?"

The light in his eyes gradually dimmed, as if grasping at the last straw, he kept staring at me.

"Do we really not know each other?"

He doesn't remember that I was his best friend, I don't love him, nor do I hate him.

But we can only be strangers now.

"We don't know each other."

I placed his phone on the table.

"You can check which friends you have and ask them to come keep you company."

"This should be my last visit."

I deleted all the information about me from his phone.

Even as I walked out of the hospital, I could still feel that gaze lingering on my back, following me like a shadow.
