Five years later.

On a summer day at the seaside, tourists bustling about.

In front of an ice cream shop, a female clerk blushed as she handed the last three servings of ice cream to a tall and handsome man in front of her.

The man took the ice cream, graciously said thank you, and handed two of them to the handsome little boy by his side.

Just as the father and son were about to eat, a little girl behind them tugged on her mother's hand and exclaimed, "Mommy, I want ice cream too!"

The woman spoke without politeness, "Hey! We don't have any left in the shop now. Can you finish eating three all at once? Just sell us one!"

Before the man could say anything, the little girl was about to rush over and grab it.

The little boy furrowed his brows slightly, deftly dodged the dirty hands of the little girl, and earnestly replied, "I'm sorry, auntie, we don't sell it."

The little girl's mother immediately became angry and scolded, "Why is this child so impolite! What's wrong with giving us one ice cream? It's not like we're not giving you money!"

The little boy lifted his chin slightly, stood up straight, and said, "Auntie, it's not who speaks the loudest that's right. The ice cream was bought by me and my dad, and we have the right to refuse to sell it to you."

The other parents who also failed to buy ice cream couldn't bear to watch anymore.

"They don't sell it, and yet they want to snatch it. They have no shame!"

The woman, with a thin face, glared at the father and son with resentment, and could only turn around and leave with her child.

I happened to witness this scene as I walked over, and couldn't help but admire how well Zhou Zhi had taught the child. When faced with a problem, he remained confident and composed, much stronger than the old me.

I smiled and called out, "Xiao Yu."

The adorable child saw me and walked over steadily, holding the ice cream in his hand, and proudly handed one of them to me.

"It's vanilla, your favorite."

I kissed his face, but he dodged away.

The adorable child sighed helplessly, "Mommy, I've grown up. Boys and girls don't kiss each other."

Me: "..."

Although his biological father is someone else, this child's personality is very much like Zhou Zhi, often displaying a maturity that doesn't match his age, and frequently coming up with witty remarks.

I licked a few bites of the ice cream and curiously asked Zhou Zhi, "Why did Xiao Yu suddenly not let me kiss him today?"

Zhou Zhi replied, "When you weren't here just now, Xiao Yu told me that he has a crush on a girl in the kindergarten's Star Class and will only let her kiss him in the future."

"..."

I looked at the big boy sitting in the chair, swinging his legs, feeling somewhat speechless. He's only four years old.

"Is he... precocious?"

Zhou Zhi pushed his glasses up and gave me a reassuring look.

"Don't worry, it's normal."
