I had a falling out with my mom because she thought she was harming me and my younger brother.

I swore never to forgive her, but after a few months, she came to me looking disheveled, and I still let her in.

As I looked at her slightly hunched back, a sense of satisfaction rose within me.

Without speaking to her, I cooked her a bowl of noodles.

I placed it on the table, and she spoke first:

"Yingying, Mom was wrong. It was always Mom's fault. Mom will change. Will you forgive Mom?"

Her voice had a hint of crying, and I didn't know if she truly realized her mistakes.

But it didn't matter that much anymore. I calmly responded:

"I think you should ask if your little brother will forgive you, not me. After all, I'm still alive, but he's gone."

After I finished speaking, she froze for a few seconds, then burst into tears, with tears and snot covering her face.

I looked at her coldly, walked into the bedroom, and took out the note from the bedside table.

It was written:

"Sister, I'm so tired of living."

"Sister, Mom was in a good mood today. She wanted me to learn to paint, but I don't like painting. I wanted to play basketball, but as soon as I was about to refuse, Mom's smile disappeared, and I immediately closed my mouth."

"Sister, Mom hit me again today. I don't know what I did wrong."

"Sister, Dad shielded me behind him, but why doesn't he believe what I say? Clearly, Mom is the one who's wrong."

"Sister, where are the cockroaches in our house? I can't find them. Without them, who can I talk to?"

"Sister, did Mom treat you like this too? Or is it just me?"

"Sister, goodbye!"

As I read, tears flowed down, slowly soaking the entire paper.

I vividly remembered the smile on my brother's face before he died, and my heart ached fiercely.

How desperate must he have been to think of suicide!

I tore the note into pieces and burned it, then walked out of the bedroom, looking at my mom's desolate figure, revealing a faint smile.

Forgiveness?

Hmm, sinners only deserve to live in a world of regret.

My mom will never deserve forgiveness!
