I and Wang Miaomiao arrived on the first floor.

The building manager auntie is a middle-aged woman with gray hair, who looks similar in age to my grandmother.

But her body is strong, especially when she was shouting downstairs just now, her loud voice could be heard throughout the building.

"Are you here to call your parents?" The building manager auntie opened the small window of the reception room and placed the old-fashioned telephone on the narrow windowsill.

"Our school is located in a remote area with poor signal. Students can use the dormitory's landline for free, with a limit of three minutes per person and one allowed contact per week."

I pushed the phone back, my throat dry from nervousness.

"Auntie, we have something else we need your help with."

She listened to our description expressionlessly, as if it were a trivial matter.

"Auntie, what exactly are the extra classmates? I asked anxiously.

The building manager auntie didn't answer me.

She opened a drawer and threw a bottle of medicine at me.

"Go back and mix it with water and drink it. The extra classmates will leave your dorm room."

I carefully examined the small plastic bottle, which was no different from the ordinary medicine bottles sold in pharmacies.

The only difference was that there were no words or packaging on the plastic bottle.

I unscrewed the cap and found that it contained powder similar to ashes.

It had a scent of burning vegetation.

"What is this?" I didn't dare to take it casually.

The building manager auntie impatiently glanced at me, "It's medicine to resolve the danger. It has the same name and surname as you, it's coming for you."

I couldn't understand it with common sense.

"If I take this medicine, will the dirty thing leave the dorm room?"

The building manager auntie's face grew darker, "You don't believe it? Give the medicine back to me. There are many people who want it, one less won't make a difference."

I hesitated for three seconds.

Wang Miaomiao answered first, "Thank you, auntie. We'll keep the medicine."

She grabbed my hand and hurriedly walked upstairs.

"Li Lan, besides trusting the building manager, do we have any other way to deal with it, what do you think?"

I pondered and realized that we didn't.

Before coming to this dormitory building, I never believed in supernatural things.

"Let's go back to the dorm room and take a look. If it's still there, I'll go out and buy water to take the medicine."

Wang Miaomiao nodded.

Shoulder to shoulder, we nervously returned to the fourth floor.
